Pretty sure. I either hear "Leading the league in homer runs" or "He's top five in batting average so far on the year."

How many games have you played? Because like I've said, it doesn't happen a lot, usually just the only first at bat of a few games.

if you can, screenshot where the graphic comes up that you're the league leader in homeruns and make sure it doesn't just say "team leader" if you can

Has anyone ever seen their team make a big move in free agency. I just finished my second season with Houston.We had a good season so our budget went up. I was expecting to see some good new signings especially since we have quite a few holes in our lineup. Instead, we signed a bunch of 30 something year old depth guys. Could it be that the big name guys just didnt want to play for the Astros. Or is it impossible for your gm to make big signings no matter what team you're on. Also, im fairly certain that the prospects on my team arent developing. Last season we had a 24 year old closer at 69 ovr with a potential. It's spring training now and he's still 69

Hey guys new here. Just got mlb the show. First mlb game I've owned. Looking at rrts. What position do you think is most fun or best for a beginner? I think I'd like hitting more than fielding though.

2nd Base or Shortstop has a decent variety of plays, although you'll still be turning double plays the majority of the time. And if you want to field less, then you can go into the RTTS settings and set Fielding Opportunities to Some or None rather than All. And for Baserunning Opportunities, if you want to be a speedy guy, I recommend setting that to Lead Runner. Otherwise, just set it to None.

Spoiler alert: You won't get any offers from anyone besides the Athletics for a long time. They own you for 6 years of club control. After 3, you can get arbitration, but you still don't become a free agent until your Service Time says 6.0 or higher

You sure? Because I got called up to the Majors after the All-Star break in my first year and finished the year with the Rays. In the offseason, the O's offered me a deal.

Anyone using any sliders for RttS? My guy is struggling lol I am into my 5th year and he has hit 240 with only 7 HRs and 33Rbi's in July. I usually have about 15-20 around this time and I have been averaging at least 25-29 Hrs a year (Can't quite crack 30 for some reason lol).

Were you traded in the offseason? Either that or your original team decided not to tender you a contract, which would make you a free agent. I'm sure about the 6 year thing. That's how MLB works. Once a team drafts a player they have him under team control for 6 years of major league service time. There are other things to consider like arbitration, Rule 5 Draft, etc. but those don't kick in for a few years down the road either. I'm guessing that the Rays just didn't offer you a contract. What is your potential rating?

So this was the final year of my contract with KC. After 6 seasons I was only at 5 and some change service time, so they had me for another year.


All season long I either struggled hitting for power or struggled hitting for average. I rarely did both well at the same time. For much of the season I was hitting .330 or higher, but struggling to get XBHs, specifically HRs.

Then later on in the year, I started knocking doubles and triples and a few more homers, but my average slowly tanked over the final 2 months.


Ultimately I finished with a .299/.367/.520 triple slash with 27 homers and 111 RBI. I added 30 steals. I only posted 60 walks, a big decline from 80 the previous season, but still good for my 2nd most in a season.

The low (for me) homer total was really weird. My career homers by season.

2014: 7 (only 189 plate appearances)
2015: 26 (first full season)
2016: 36
2017: 40
2018: 43
2019: 43
2020: 27

Just a weird decline to have my lowest total in 5 years. I felt like I was waiting for my pitches and getting good swings on them, but it just wasn't happening.


Despite my OPS dropping 135 points from the prior season, I still was deemed good enough to win my 4th Silver Slugger. I also started the All-Star game. No other accolades were won.


I hit 2 milestones very early on this season: 1,000 career hits, and 200 career homers. Here's a video of the latter. Sorry for the low commentary volume, I turn it way down when I listen to music.

I wanted to go out on a high note with another dominant season and a 2nd World Series title before leaving KC, but unfortunately it didn't go down that way. The team won 100 games exactly, which is a great total, but it was a big step down from our last few seasons of 110-115+. We swept the Rangers in the ALDS but ended up losing in 5 games to the Yankees in the ALCS. I couldn't get it going in the playoffs and neither could any of my teammates it would seem. A sour note to end on, but we did go to 3 World Series' in 4 years, and won 1 of them.

I enjoyed playing in KC. I chose them, rather than taking my chances in the draft. And this was before their great 2014 season and World Series run. I'm not a KC fan, but for some reason I found myself drawn to doing a career with them. I liked their roster, their uni sets, and their ballpark.

But after 7 years I'm ready to move on. After some careful deliberation, I chose the New York Mets as my free agency destination, and signed a 5 year/$140 million contract.

The reasons I chose the Mets were:

a) I wanted to play in the NL. After being in the AL for 7 years, there are some stadiums I never played in once, and many others I only played in a handful of times. Since the game doesn't rotate interleague matchups, I was stuck with the same teams pretty much every year. I wanted a chance to play in NL ballparks and face different opponents.

b) After like 5 straight division titles and a ton of postseason success, I felt like I wanted to start fresh with more of a young team that might struggle to win at first, but could build something.

c) I was drawn to the underdog nature of the Mets, being in the shadow of the Yankees and not being a very successful franchise for a long time. I want to do for them what I did for the Royals.

d) Now that SCEA removed their camo jersey from the game, their uniform set is awesome :wink: and I really like Citi Field. I love the multiple decks to launch homers into which I never had at Kauffman. I like that it feels like a big city or major market park, coming from tiny Kauffman.


I actually never received an offer from them. I kept simming free agency and always got offers from the same few teams: The Rockies, Reds, Tigers, White Sox, and Rangers. I wasn't interested in any of those teams, so I did the "choose a team to go to Spring Training with" option and then signed for 5/$140m.


And in my first game as a Met, in my first at bat, and on the very first pitch, this happened:

Hey, what's up, guys.

I just got the game a couple of days ago for PS4. Started a RTTS with Freddie Tolbert, #7, 3B converted 1B converted SS for the Minnesota Twins.

So, Freddie's story: Drafted in the middle of the first by the Padres. At 18, he went straight into AA, where he played half of the season. He then found himself traded to Minnesota right as he got hot. The first month of the year, Freddie was not a great player. He seemed like a bust.

By the end of his first year, he was in AAA in Minnesota, getting resigned to be a AAA starter. Heading into the next year, Freddie received an invite to Spring Training, where he really showed his stuff.

He never left. While he was a first baseman heading into the regular season, he had soon been traded to the Orioles and changed to a shortstop following the trade of JJ Hardy. Freddie took over as the starter and excelled.

At the end of the year, he signed a 2 year, $1,000,000 deal to stay with Baltimore as a starter. He's currently a 70 overall, but his adjusted overall is 82.

My question to you guys is, following this story:

A) Have I done a good job getting Freddie to the majors or was I slow?
B) How can I get his overall up?
C) Is it crazy that he switched positions three times?

Finished my 1st year with the Yankees. And despite missing a month I had a career year. In 28 starts I finished with a 16-2 record, 1.47 ERA and 302 Strikeouts. I won the AL MVP and AL CY Young. And I helped lead the Yankees to a 97-65 record, 1 seed in the AL.

Only negative is I give up too many HR's. I allowed 18 this season, 10 in the last 14 starts. Generally they're solo shots and that's the one and only per game but it's still annoying.

So we played the Twins in the ALDS. I started Game 1. I gave up a lead off HR in the 2nd, allowed 5 hits in the first 2 innings and the first 2 innings took my 47 pitches. But after that I only allowed 1 hit and ended up going 8 innings with 11 K's and just the 1 run. We won 6-1.
We won the series 3-1. I thought it was odd that if we needed a Game 5 I wasn't gonna be the starter.

I love how I'm a former MVP, 6 time all-star, 4 time silver slugger, and I still get the painfully bad "Player Spotlight" segments where they say stuff like "now this guy, coming into the season, a lot of people thought he could be a real up and coming player, even a superstar down the line when he gets time to develop." They talk about me like I'm still an unknown, like I haven't already won an MVP and a World Series lol. Guys, the time when I should have gotten the "Kris Bryant" treatment and lines of commentary passed 6 seasons ago.

Do most people who perform in the showcase of Pick 3?

I have noticed a few YouTubers go PICK 3 and thats where I went. Also I have a commentary problem where for the spotlight there is none. Anyone know how to fix this?

Finally into September with my right fielder for the Cubs. I'm hitting around .300 with 4 home runs & 51 RBI. I played the first of 50 games in AA. I really struggled hitting at home to start things off. I was hitting .330 on the road & .200 at home. Finally hitting around .270 at home. We have a 13 game lead in the division. Oh yeah Kris Bryant is still in AAA hitting over .300 with close to 40 home runs & over 100 RBI. Our pitching has been insane. We traded two pitchers & an outfielder for Cody Allen & Trevor Bauer. Made another multiplayer trade to get Will Venable.

Ok so I made the World Series with the Yankees and I start Game 1 at St. Louis. I go 8.1 IP and get the win 9-2, also I drove in 3 runs. Up 1-0. Good. Now tanaka loses game 2 so it's 1-1. The 3rd pitcher pitches game 3 and wins, so 2-1. Instead of me, pitcher #4 pitches game 4, loses. 2-2. Game 5? Pitcher #5 whos a 68. So now down 3-2. Game 6. They go with the 3rd pitcher again. But we win anyway. 3-3. Game 7? They go with pitcher #4! And lose!
What kind of rotation was that??! Even the ALCS vs Detroit went 5 but I only got 1 start.
So I say. What. The actual ****

So I forgot it doesn't save if I simulate so when I backed out to use my SS it didn't save. So I came back and it was back to the WS after my start in game 1. We swept them this time, go figure. Still me and Tanaka didn't pitch Game 4. I was scrolling around the menus and noticed how the rotation was all screwed up.
