And then after running into the wall, there's that double mini-pump fake/double clutch of the ball before throwing even though you've preloaded the throw to the cutoff man.

I finally got a chance to play again an in only the second game played I saw a sac fly, man scoring from second base because the OF decided he had to run into the wall. It was Tori Hunter btw...I have it on video on my phone but no clue how to get it on here. I tried emailing it but file was too big. Tried uploading to Youtube but stuck on pending.

Anyways, if I figure it out I will post it. But I'm not very good when it comes to stuff like that. Just take my word for it, it happened. AND I was the one who benefitted from it, meaning it was the CPU who slammed against the wall after making the catch on the run, a good 5 feet from the warning track (took three extra steps before hitting the wall).

Yeah, the original one is definitely NOT how it should work.

I don't see any problem with throw urgency in those videos!

But, those are definitely bugs with the new tag system, and should be report in the bug database.

I've said similar things before, but threads like this are why I have no problem throwing money down for The Show. Not only is the game great, and improving with each release, but interaction like this between people who create the game and the people who play it, ensuring that things that don't work right get found and corrected.

It's a far cry from the train wreck that is the EA NHL series. You guys ever think about bringing all of this joy and glory to the NHL? SCE could probably do some huge things to that sport.

Here are two weird things that happened in one game in online DD, today. The first has nothing to do with throw urgency, just a strange occurrence, where I had no control of any fielders.

In the second, I did attempt to pre-load the throw, but my third baseman was just holding on to it.

I agree a lot of the times the infielders do some kind of double pump before their throw, even when you hold the throw button. When you're trying to turn a double play this should never happen. The pitcher also does it an a slow chopper back to him when he should be hurrying the throw.

So real quick before I dive into this...game looks great and Online plays far better than in years past. For the first time in my baseball gaming history I am in a league and having fun.

                    Re: Throw Urgency

I'm playing online head to head Diamond Dynasty. I've seen instances where I would load up on a throw and the response to my command is late. Last night, a hit and run was put on (with a runner on 1st) and the batter hit a normal base hit to left field. With my left fielder, I loaded up on the throw and threw to 3B but it was delayed and too late.

IRL, hit and run situations like this usually result in a man on first and third and this is exactly what happened in The Show but is this possibly why the loaded throw was delayed to help make sure the result is realistic?

Below is a gif of a play from last night. A man was on 3B and the batter bunted, of course. I loaded up the throw to go home but the response was super delayed! I probably would have been late on the throw anyways but when I see this much of a delay and my opponent sees the same thing it just makes the result much more painful.
