I might have to go this route because I am becoming extremely pissed off with the timing feedback this year. I RARELY get a hit with 'GOOD' timing and it is really annoying.

Out of sight, out of mind may be the way to go here as it doesn't look like it will get fixed. I hope this is something they address next year, though.

I'm in the same boat as a lot of users. My frustrations are multiple for this years version, but I think what has made it worse for me is that 14 was such a solid game and instead of building on that, new issues were presented.

There are just too many issues in terms of gameplay (especially with more user influenced interfaces) and some pretty bad bugs that really hamper the overall experience.

I don't understand being concerned with the timing feedback. I don't care if I'm late on a pitch, early on a pitch or good on a pitch, as long as I am hitting. You shouldn't need feedback from the game to know if you were early or late on a swing. Maybe it's just me, but I can tell when I swing the bat.

This. If you got "good" feedback all the time on solid hits, it would mean you're hitting the ball back up the middle way too often, because your timing was perfect or close to it. Early/Late is one of the main factors that sends a ball to left or right field.

Why can no one ever tag a runner out in this game? Just lost a game cause of the infamous tag glitch

Wouldn't that be true on balls near the middle mostly?

I would think "Good" timing on a pitch inside sends the ball to the pull field of the hitter. Up the middle would actually be "Late"?

On pitches away - "Good" would be to the opposite field? Up the middle would be "Early"?

I play on Directional, so I don't have it. Only "extra" thing I see are the arrows when I try influencing a hit.

I would assume that's how it works, but I don't pay attention to it at all so I don't know.

Re: I really, really want to like this game.

I'm definitely enjoying the game but it is sure as heck frustrating. I feel like one of the most frustrating things is the CPU kind of 'cheesing' me on the bases. It doesn't happen much, but they'll take advantage of the animations that my fielders get 'stuck' in. On one play a sack fly scored two runs b/c it was a line drive that my RF had to run back to get, so both runners advance and before I he even gets it to the cutoff man the guy from second is rounding third.

Definetly a lot of potential improvements could be made to the gameplay, which is kind of exciting if you look at the glass half full. I'd like to see that stuff cleaned up before they add more equipment or improve the graphics. That stuff is good for now

For the people annoyed at hitting...I take a few rounds of BP to get my timing back in order. I'm a pitch speed of +2 which is perfect for me.

I think the ball physics kindly messed me up initially; I was always either late on the FB or early on the breaking pitches...finally started swinging a TOUCH earlier than I did in previous games and that did the trick.

OK fellas, this happened to me today and I'm absolutely disgusted. I'm the Yankees in game 9 of my season and and I was playing the Orioles. Warren vs. Gonzalez. Bottom 7, I'm up 3-0. Warren starts the 7th and gives up a home run to Pearce to make it 3-1. No problem, I had Wilson warming up and he was ready so I put him in. First batter against Wilson hits a can of corn for the first out. Next batter infield single. Next batter smokes a single to left. First and second one out. I do a mound visit to calm down Wilson. Next batter hits a ground ball to third for what appears to be an easy, inning ending double play, right? Wrong. The ball takes a convenient bad hop, eats Arod up and gets past him for an error and an RBI to make it 3-2. Seeing that Wilson doesn't have his stuff, I bring in Betances who was warming up and is ranked an 89 in the game with a 99 hits against rating and 99 strike out rating. He strikes out the next batter for the second out. Light hitting Everth Cabrera comes up and smokes a pitch to the right center field gap for an rbi ground rule double and we're tied at 3.

Here's the video, take a look at that easy double play ball that conveniently eats up Arod at a very opportune time for the Cpu.

Now let's fast forward to the bottom of the 9th. Tie game 3-3. I have Ivan Nova in with full energy. First batter hits a sharp grounder down the third base line for a single. At this point I said to myself, "yup, this is over."
Next batter sac bunts the runner to second and into scoring position. No problem. I bare down and induce the next batter to hit a grounder to third that I thought was an easy out. But wait! Arod ole's it and it gets into left for a single. Gardner throws home and holds the runner at third. I intentionally walk Jones to load the bases with one out. And then the biggest bunch of nonsense that's ever happened happened. Knowing the CPU is going to try the squeeze, I bring the corners in and pitch out. Nothing doing. I can't fall behind 2-0 so I keep the corners in and throw my pitch. As anticipated, Pearce tries the squeeze play and bunts it right to first base. But Teixeira, whom I brought in to play the bunt, runs to cover first base as soon as the bunt is laid down, allowing the runner from third to score and I lose 4-3.

Take a look at the video below. And there's no "back-handed" logic going on on the higher difficulties? Please....

Looks like you choked a game away with some bad pitching. All of their hits are extremely hittable pitches. And then you pitched right into the squeeze. Another simple pitchout would've caught the runner dead in his tracks running home from 3rd.

You gave up 4 runs in 2 innings. It happens. It just so happens you gave them up in the final 6 outs to lose the game. Happens in baseball in real life. Teams choke away leads all of the time. I've seen the Braves bullpen lose near 10 games this year already that they had a lead in after 6 innings.

If you think something cheap is going on, I don't know what to tell you. I saw a baseball game where one team couldn't close.

You're ignoring the nonsense that happened :
                              - the Cpu generated misplay on a routine double play to allow the computer the score (how exactly did I blow this?)
                              - the ole on another easy grounder (again, how did I blow this?)
                              - the fact that I played my corners in to defend the suicide squeeze play and still couldn't
                              - the fact that Stephen Pearce actually laid down a suicide squeeze in that situation.
                              - the fact that I already pitched out to defend against the squeeze and the computer just happened to know when I was doing it and conveniently decided to do the suicide squeeze in the second pitch.

Nothing about these plays has any semblance of realism. The fact that you guys blindly defend this is very frustrating.

I'm not blindly defending anything. You had a bad hop. It happens. Ive had them in the first at bat of a game and in the 9th when the game is on the line. Also, I've won games despite it happening in tight games late.

And if I was the opposing team, I don't do the suicide squeeze on pitch 1 either. That is just good logic there. A pitch out is obviously coming more than likely on pitch 1. Pitch 2 is a better time to try it, but I would try it on pitch 3 personally.

So had you played me and tried it twice and I never sent it either time, what would you say then?
