I like your sliders,I use them in franchise. Wish they could apply to Diamond Dynasty. But hey franchise is good.

How do you represent a fielding error being made then?

I played a game like this last night. Game was close and I was threatening for some insurance runs.

Then the CPU's 3B (Sano) made two errors in the inning that ended up leading to a 5-run inning (only 2 were earned).

Turned a 3-2 game into an 8-2 lead heading into the bottom of the 9th.

Re: I really, really want to like this game.

Overall, I am enjoying the game, but there are still the things that drive me crazy:

          1) the animation where an outfielder slows down to slowmotion and runs up against a wall, thereby allowing a runner to tag easily or a runner to get an extra base he never should have had.

          2) the insane amount of throwing errors that pull the second baseman off the bag.

          3) the lack of line drive hits.

          4) the lack of in-game stats.

          5) the unrealistic comebacks.

But IMO these are all issues that have been present in the game for years now, so it's nothing new to this edition. In terms of every game feeling the same or similar, yes, the game definitely needs more character added to it to make it feel different. There need to be more personalized animations, more control over reactions and animations, more interaction with your manager (in Franchise mode), etc. They just need to seriously revamp this aspect of it to make it more immersive. They should have focused on that instead of on the baseball cards and other useless stuff you earn.

On the grounder, you have ARod in? Ball hit equals less reaction time. You didn't adjust him that way, ok, but the game flashes your defensive positioning prior to each batter, you should've checked and made adjustments accordingly.

The shoe has been on the other foot plenty of times and I hate it. You think I enjoy making a ridiculous 6 run comeback in two innings? I did it a few games ago. I wasn't pumped or excited. I was disgusted. Why? Because the same nonsense happened to the Cpu. All of a sudden they were making idiotic errors and ole'ing easy grounders. Just because it happens to the user and the Cpu doesn't make it any less unrealistic. It's still a joke that is clearly brought out on the higher difficulty levels in order to simulate a more challenging experience. The Cpu isn't much better on higher levels. They're just cheesier.

I've changed them a little. I just haven't gotten around to putting them into an OS post. I am going to try to get them into a post tonight.

One thing I will point out with dynamic difficulty, is that the CPU is pretty forgiving up to veteran ++, and that dynamic difficulty users should not give up at the rookie level.

MLB 15 really starts to shine once you hit veteran++. The baseball just simply gets better as you progress.

Re: I really, really want to like this game.

I just had back to back games where I gave up 4 walks and 5 runs in the first inning. I lost the 1st one after breaking up the cpus perfect game with 2 outs in the 7th. It was 5-1. In the second one I tied it at 5 in the bottom of the 1st and then went on to win 9-7.

That's the first time I've ever had 2 games like that or really any game start so poorly for me or the cpu. Markakis and Simmons even had errors in the first game. I feel like some in here would call that blatant cheese and not realistic. To me it played out like a real game of baseball both games.

I just don't know what people are looking for. Whenever I watch real baseball and it's a 2-1 game in the 7th and a 9-1 game in the 8th, it's usually because of a costly error or 2 and some bad pitching. It's the same recipe every time in real life. So I don't exactly get the problem still. It's baseball.

So, again, I ask how would you represent players making errors late in the game?

You don't like how The Show does it - so how would you do it without making players immune to making late-game mistakes?

Making errors late in a ballgame IS part of baseball.

Just finished a game of The Show Live today on HoF difficulty with auto fielding and had another wonky play that can be added to my previous list of videos!!

Mariners against The Giants and I'm 1-0 up going into the Eighth. Get the first batter out then it's error, walk, infield hit and suddenly The Giants have the bases loaded and with only one out. Next batter up and this happens:

I don't know what's worse, the fact that the ball warped or the psychic ability of Zunino to know where the ball was going to warp to!! Needless to say if the ball had stayed where it was and Zunino had acted accordingly then it probably would have been an out at home (unless I got one of those awful fresh air tags!!)

Next play is a sac fly to make it 2-1 and then I get the final batter out.

That just looks like an animation is too long and made the ball warp to his hand when he would be picking it up. Seems the problem is there isn't an animation for the ball being a short distance away, or if there is, the game was wrong in what animation played out.

For you guys that don't see an abundance of silly throwing errors, do you play with the button meter throwing or with the accuracy meter? Because with the traditional meter, too many elementary throwing errors occur and that's with it on veteran and sliders at 3 for throwing errors.

I can deal with animation errors, but the rate at which these guys throw over the bag and in the dirt on plays that are not in a hurry, is flat out unacceptable.

Auto fielding, I s just press what base to throw to. I don't control anything else.

I think I may finally give in and go this way. I'd like to have control over my fielding, but from what I'm getting now, it's not like I have any control with manual half of the time.
