So how many times "should" it happen? Should it be a fixed amount of times? Should it ignore ratings (bad fielder, but it's happened too much, so no error because it can't happen too many times)?

For something that happens an inordinate amount of times, I don't see it much at all. I don't have a special game and I play on Hall of Fame using Timing/Directional/Classic/Auto Field/no meter throwing - so AI has plenty of times to "manipulate" things to "make it harder" on me, so what would explain that 4 years into a franchise and having played every single one of my team's games?

I would definitely be pissed if I lost a game on that....but I would shrug it off as "just baseball".
I know others just seem to not be able to do that....and they will never truly enjoy the game.
Sad...but not SCEA's fault in many respects.
Some things..(like the ball through glove...and the warping...of course it is and should be fixed).....yes....but it seems as though you can never lose a game that your ahead on O.S. anymore(for some) or it's "shenanigans".

I don't mind losing games when I'm outplayed.
I don't mind losing games when I'm giving up home runs and just pitching lousy or just having an off game.
I don't mind losing when I'm making throwing errors because my throws are out of the green area on the meter (I play with manual fielding).
I DO mind losing games like the one the other dude just posted.

Its just a graphic glitch, which by the way I've been notice happening a little more than last year's version, its not happening to screw the user over. Its just a graphic glitch, nothing more and nothing less.

Second, I play on Hall of Fame default. Every setting is Hall of Fame, and after playing ST twice (60ish games) and an entire season (162 games), these types of things are few and far between in my experience.

And finally, I asked you before and I'll try asking again. How many times has this happened to you and how many games have you played? I could probably count on one hand how many times an error has cost me a game or something like what BP referenced has happened in a game.
              1. But you are defending it. You're defending your opinion of the game. That's all I'm saying, dude. I'm defending my opinion, you're defending yours.
              2. Asking me how many times it's happened is really an absurd question, so I'll answer it with an equally absurd answer - too many to count. Honestly, I see something glitchy like that at LEAST every other game playing on HoF and before you say I'm not good enough for that difficulty, I'm 5-3 currently with the Yankees (who are ranked 21) and was 8-0 on Allstar before realizing it wasn't challenging.

I would be pissed as well. I've never had an issue like this though. Some people just like to over exaggerate or make things up as they go. Some people just like living in denial and that's what I chalk it up as.

Again it was a perfect situation. Perfectly fielded, set throw. Why on earth is there a glitch on that play? I think it has something to do with the amount of errors that occur late in games.

I like losing as crazy as it sounds. Too many games are easy to win even on the most challenging level. This game goes about challenge in a different way though. A SEVERELY BROKEN STRIKE ZONE, that will force you to throw more hittable pitches, animations that you have no control over resulting in errors, runs, extra bases...you name it.

I want to be out pitched, out hit, out fielded by the computer .......not

out squeezed, (don't have one for animations..but its a mess), out error-ed?

Same here man. I see this stuff at least once every 3 or 4 games. I'm going to be recording from now on and posting because its absurd.

Hate to break it to you guys but the majority of baseball games are not won or lost on miscues or other wonky stuff. Does it happen...sure. But for the most part games are won and will always be won by either who pitches, hits, or fields better.

The show unfortunately...as great as it is, does not have that aspect down on the harder levels.

                      1) No, I'm trying to have a discussion on the issue. And please don't try to cover up your intention of your posts with "defending opinion". You've been on the forums too long posting the same stuff over and over for that to be your meaning.

                      2) How is it absurd? You seem to be keeping track of it happening with your quantitative comments. "inordinate". And I never claimed you weren't good enough for Hall of Fame, all I was doing was asking a question.

And every other game you see what? Comeback AI? Errors costing you games? Glitches that cost you games? Poor animations that cost you games?

Wouldn't fielding better than the other team mean that one team made (more) fielding mistakes?

Not necessarily errors but bad routes to the ball, poor(er) range, weak throws that, while on target, didn't get the runner, etc.

How do you represent that in the game? If a fielder on auto fielding takes a poor route with the new fielding AI system - would that count as "late game manipulation"?
