Simlpe thing - don't know if anyone's mentioned it - the ability to have a 4, 5, or 6 man rotation. IRL, the Mets have been using it a lot to limit innings on their young starters. I know you could just take one person out of the 5-man rotation to have a 4, but I feel a "legit" or "official" way should be implemented.

Some of you guys have great ideas! Some thoughts I have regarding the play and no doubt it will be touched on to what some have mentioned already;
- Stats need an upgrade. It's the way baseball is changing more and more regarding the ability to calculate stats. I'd love to see WAR calculated throughout the season/careers. That would be an awesome addition to this game.
- In lines with stats, maybe they could start adding Stat-Cast to highlights from the games. Just show case it after a play or two throughout the game or the ability to pick a play and let it calculate it out.
- Fix the simulated stats. This has been an issue for a while, it seems. There shouldn't be a handful of guys barely getting to .300. But, if WAR is added, I wouldn't mind it as much.
- Adjusted player progression. Too often the engine boosts pitchers like crazy and position players go down especially with plate vision. Mike Foltynewicz shouldn't be striking out nearly 300 batters each year after two seasons. (I just remember him more than others. But the strike outs per season was insane after my second and third years.
In regards to roster control;
- Full roster single A teams. I understand if it's a licensing issue, that's fine just give us the ability to have a full roster of players or slots for single A. Those 10 extra spots would be awesome to have.
- The ability to sign minor league club managers instead of just having a farm director. You can have a farm director too. But, I'd love to have personalized managers for minor league teams. The coaches could have attributes that are simple and even just one dimensional like baserunning specialist or something like that.
- Regards of moving players up and down is in need of a boost but to be fair, I don't really know how the AI handles it for other teams.
- Trades. I still see some odd trades from AI at times but it has gotten way better from previous years.
- Drafting. If they expand the roster for single A, it would be great to have more rounds. Drafting does need to be fixed too. That whole process is just not good. It's 2015, the AI drafts players who are 22 already and won't be good till 2024? That all needs to be fixed and rehashed.
- Scouting, much of the same needs to be rehashed. Scouting is still pointless and I don't even bother to do it. Scouting would be cool if they adjusted it and instead of giving straight attributes, they should just show rating based off the 20-80 scale. That would be pretty cool.
- I forgot to add in; Team Chemistry! I think this is huge and should be attributes to players. Either chemistry attribute or personality? That would be great to have and should change yearly by performance, team performance, salary signings.
Stadium stuff;
- More interaction in stadiums would be cool. Advertisements would be interesting around the stadium, just make random ones like in the past that you can place around.
- I'd like the idea of upgrading your stadium, buying a new scoreboard or something. If this is added, it would be cool to actually see it too. Sort of how the Cubs did their changing around. I know that's asking for a lot but maybe at some point down the road.
- Sounds of the game. I'm all for this too and it's a much needed upgrade.
Gameplay;
- Like many have said, the customization. I'd love to see more variety and more individual like throwing motions. I want Hunter Pence to actually throw like Hunter Pence.
- Sliding animations for fielding when going to the glove side. Like someone trying to cut off a ball in the gap, or in the infield more so at the third and second base positions.
- Second basemans going down on a one knee to make sure the ball doesn't get by them. I've been seeing this more and more.
- Adjusted slide animations into the bases. With the hook slides, pulling the arm back, etc. That would be cool but I'm sure really difficult to do and pull off also.
- Cut down on the double plays, the hits off the pitchers, and random given errors on hits.
- The so slow animations allowing hits and extra bases. I shouldn't have Jose Molina beating out a slow grounder to short because my SS won't charge the ball even with jamming on the left thumb-stick towards the ball.
- Way too many bunt attempts for a hit. Every time I face Leonys Martin, he bunts 90% of the time.
- Swinging needs more animations. Jose Altuve shouldn't have the same finish and swing as Giancarlo Stanton.
Presentation;
- Like others have said, better notifications.
- Around the league news. If a pitcher is throwing a no-hitter or something like 20 strikeouts in a game, I'd love to know about it. Same thing regarding a player who may have 4 homeruns in one game. A news story idea would be great to have maybe they can team up with MLB Network and have Quick Pitch articles or something.
- Along with that, I'd love to know what players are close to hitting milestone marks or close to record breaking years.
- Also, can we please be able to compare players in MLB and not just AL/NL? I know it's been the same since 1998 on the Show but any chance this could change by now? If not, it's cool I guess but it would be nice.
Ok, I'm done. This was all off the top of my head and I hope you guys don't mind my long post. I love the Show and I want it to keep getting better!Comment

It would be nice to see a pitcher getting scratched before game time. Elbow soreness, Shoulder inflamation etc.
Also, if a pitcher comes out injured, it would be nice to see the relief get some warm up reps instead of coming in cold off the bench. Countless times I have seen my starter get injured in the 1st or 2nd inning and when I bring in my LR, he intanstly every time gives up runs and hits like he isnt warmed up or even a little warm.Last edited by forme95; 09-06-2015, 11:34 AM.Really wish sports games played to ratings!

@P.A.D. skipping the throw doesn't affect the velocity very much. Unless it was going to be a bang bang play, this doesn't really affect much. If the placement of the skip is where the fielder can handle it, I don't see this as a problem.
To the thread, we need right stick gesture pitching. Seriously, the most fun I've had with a baseball game was the 2k games and gesture pitching. The show is great, don't get me wrong. But doing the same thing for every pitch wears just a bit thin. That gesture pitching was so cool.
Also, if they just use the 2k hitting method too, that would be great. Pull back to step, let it go to normal, push for power, and side for contact. This is less an issue than the pitching though, if only the pitching changed next year, I would be a happy man.
You don't care where I sent this from."The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws."

Three little things:
1. The pullover throwback jerseys shouldn't have buttons on them.
2. I play a lot of Postseason mode; it would be nice if I could be able to choose to play day games in that mode.
3. The first thing I do on all sports games is turn off commentary. It would be great if there were at least a few different PA announcers, just to make different stadiums sound different.

Re: Thoughts for MLB 16 the Show (offline)
Obviously i would like to see better player models.
More variation in fielding / hitting animations. They improved this year but there is always room for more.
What I want most :
- Completely revamped commentary. It’s the only part where 2K really stood out
- Sounds of the show. Please bring it back
- Fake adds. I’m seeing way too much Majestic and mlb.com adds. Real adds will probably not work due to licensing, but in that case I’d settle for fake ones. They bring more realism and color to the stadiums
- More player personalization. Brands, chains, wristbands, sleeves. Whatever it is they are wearing these days.
- Keep working on the pitching motions. They get better each year
- In between innings / at the end of an inning : nice shots from the stadiums. For example images from a blimp. I want to see more of those gorgeous stadiums instead of always the same shot of the outfield
- Real broadcast companies (licensing, I know). Seeing fox, NBC etc. would add a lot of realism
- Star wars day??? Nah, just kidding J

Re: Thoughts for MLB 16 the Show (offline)
I hope in franchise mode they fix future scheduling. I'm in my 2 year of my Rays' franchise and I'm playing the Phillies 7 times with only one series against the Marlins.
I'd also like to see the scouting system fixed completely. I'm sure they're aware of this already so that's all I'm going to say.
I would love to see an expansion/relocation mode and maybe some division customization to go along with that.
Fielding animations take away user control at times and can be frustrating so hopefully they can tinker with that a little bit as well.Comment

It would be nice if you could import a player while already in a franchise. It disappointing when I need to restart my franchise or something because a new player has been created or added.
Or perhaps, if possible create minor league players around real guys in the organization and just change their names for licensing reasons. That would be cool and save the roster creators a lot of time as well.Comment

Re: Thoughts for MLB 16 the Show (offline)
Great ideas all around! Just some thoughts that come to mind that may or may not have been mentioned previously.
When viewing/playing a game from the pitchers perspective, it appears as though the catchers glove doesn't close around the ball. So when he catches it, you still see the ball in the glove instead of a closed mitt. Not exactly a realistic feature. Seems like a relatively easy thing that may have been overlooked over the years.
Would be cool to see a pitcher warming up in the bullpen using his actual motion, instead of all pitchers using a generic motion.
Pregame warmups when featuring the days starting pitcher, it would be cool to see the pitcher throwing the ball again when his stats are being shown instead of him standing around/walking around. The old games had that and I thought it was a pretty realistic.
Also, since this developer is good about having options. I might be in the minority here, but it would be neat to have the *option* to disable all the between pitch cut-scenes and watch the pitcher receive the throwback and watch the batters between pitch routine. We have all the options to choose animations for that but can never actually watch them in action since they are cut off after each pitch.
1B animations could use a haul-over. From routine catches to digs. And the awkward pause between catching the ball and throwing it off to the second baseman. I feel like there could be more fluidity in that whole process.
Just tossing out some ideas.Last edited by pingponggame; 09-08-2015, 07:41 PM.Comment

Yea they can't do that without the risk of facing a lawsuit they will lose after the prosecution presents their case. Go read up on the Ed O'Bannon lawsuit. That's why we don't have a college football game anymore because EA, stupidly modeled their players off real life college players and didn't pay them, obviously, so they lost the case. Also I think the player has to be part of the MLBPA to be in the game.
You're right. I forgot about the NCAA issue. Yeah, players do have to be in the MLBPA to be in the game. Just trying to help out our awesome roster creators on here.Comment

Also, FA prices should be fixed. CC Sabathia shouldn't be a declining player and dropped to a 68 overall asking for 22 million a season... then a team (Phillies) sign him to it for 2 years? There are way too many budget issues then regarding trades because of things like this.
Thought of another, I'd like more diversity with 2nd positions. Guys should be eligible at other positions after playing so much at one too. But, I should be able to select utility or something instead of just given one option.Last edited by biggio7; 09-09-2015, 08:49 PM.Comment

More thoughts...
I honestly think they need to make an engine change. This one is showing its age quite a bit. Maybe if they don't have a ps3 version next year they will. There's a lot of things that need to be corrected, and the ps4 should have a better game than the current version. It's easy to call it the best baseball game, it's the only decent one. But they're falling into a Madden cycle and I don't like it.
