I do normal and adjust the CONTACT and POWER sliders according to the temperature at game time.

6 of my first 7 games were all in the 30s but FINALLY the weather is warming into the 50s.

Not getting many Errors though I might have to tweak.

To date all of my 2016 Season mode MoM games have been played with the full Broadcast presentation and if I find I am little short on time I can button mash most of the presentations at roughly the same amount of time it would take to play the game using the Fast presentation. I am not a fan of QCs for my MoM games because it takes away a lot from my games. I do however play a lot of CPU vs CPU games using the Fast presentation for all the other 29 teams in the league during the Season and I find QCs to be very useful in getting those games played in a timely manner.

Has everyone found default All-Star to be the best difficulty/sliders to play for MoM? Finally began my real Mets franchise (OSFM V1.5) and want to know what most of you guys use. I'm managing opening day game right now with default All-Star with these changes:

          starter stamina 6
          reliever stamina 3
          pitcher control 3
          pitcher consistency 4
          OF errors 4
          wind 8
          injury 7
          trade 2

          EDIT:
I just realized Grinder posted a link to his MoM sliders. Gonna input those here for game 1 (still 1st inning).

            Re: Manage Only Mode Thread

I just updated and tweaked a little after 15 MoM games. I compared the CURRENT MLB numbers to the same date in my Fantasy Draft League.

AVG was 8 points lower (seemed like a LOT more)
            OB was 12 lower
            SLG was 52 lower

So I upped SOLID hits 1 and adjusted my personal game time temperature sliders.

One ONE problem I have is that even when ballparks are closed the temp is still 33. So AT THE MOMENT - I just leave all ballparks open. I could close and have temps 60 but . . . . .I like playing with those sliders. Makes the game a tiny bit more interesting.

I'm not getting hardly ANY errors - I better look to make sure I don't have those sliders backwards.

I don't adjust sliders. Difficulty doesn't matter in manage mode.

A lot of people are complaining about REALLY low team batting averages. Spring Training games a lot of teams were hitting below 200. But it was early with Starters always starting games at full rest. Now that a starting pitcher has 3 games in they are starting games a little more tired.

I've had to bump my sliders up these last few days. To date I have played 18 MoM MLB 16 regular season games and all the other games have been CPU vs CPU games mostly played with QCs enabled to be able to get the games played as fast as possible. I have not simmed a single game in the three or so weeks since the regular season began, and low batting averages are not just plaguing my team. They exist across the entire league on all 30 teams. It can become a bit of a vicious cycle when the players get cold. If they are not benched for 2-3 games, they won't break out of their cold spells and their averages tank even more when they are cold. I've been following nomo17k's CPU slider thread and for a long time I was resisting playing with solid hits at 10. But I needed to do something these last few days to try and bring the batting averages up across the league and reduce the cold spells many players are now in. I am even playing with contact at 6 (nomo recommends 5) and power at 5 (nomo recommends it at 4). However I am hoping to bring the contact and power sliders down in a week or so once the batting averages get back to normal. Close to half the league's batters are presently batting at or below 200.

I am having fun with the game. Heck playing with the Red Sox as my MoM controlled team, I am in 1st place in the AL East with a 13-5 record and the strength of the team and reason why we are winning has been the bullpen. Smith and Tazawa have been solid and Uehara and Kimbrel are monsters (Kimbrel did blow one save opportunity, but other than that he has been nasty). But even though I am winning games, the low batting averages and all the players entering cold spells is a tad frustrating. Something definitely changed in MLB 16 as in past years we were able to have great games right out of the box with mostly default sliders or only small tweaks.

Oh but with all the low batting averages, one would think the scores of the games would also be pretty low. But that's not always the case. HRs seem to be up this year. Of course I am playing with a new team in a new ball park. Historically I played with the Rockies but this year I decided to play a season at Fenway and "Big Papi" David Ortiz has hit 9 big flies in the 17 games he has played to date and I'd say close to half of David's HRs were either game winners or greatly contributed to the win.

                      I mirror your thoughts My993C2

The odd thing is that even with the lower BA runs are still being scored. Not as many BIG SCORE games I've noticed.

I did a franchise draft and some teams are just HORRIBLE batting with 340 SLG but great pitching while a couple teams are hitting 290 and 300 and a couple are in the 190s.

Looking at the circle graphs of those teams though it is what I would suspect.

I'm 16 games in and the league BA is .240 while in MLB it's .248 Slugging is WAY down in The Show so I upped my temperature induced CONTACT and POWER sliders (I have a thread in the Slider area).

Are you guys seeing overlays or commentary talk in game? ie league leaders, standings, player series stats, last 10 games etc. I'm only on game 5 and haven't seen much except them talking about past game. Again I'm only on game 5 hopefully that is the issue. Was looking forward to more stats/talk in game pertaining to season. Thanks

I was a 10 game once but that was in - I'm on game #20 now. No other overlays to speak of. Every so often I see a lineup with averages but otherwise zilch.

I do have commentary - zero stat talk in the game.

I am 21 games into my season and I have not noticed any commentator chatter concerning actual stats. But there has been commentary for batters or pitchers who are off to less than stellar starts to their respective play in the season. There is actually a lot of chatter towards poor performing batters since close to half the league in my season is batting at or below 200 right now (something I am trying to fix with slider tweaks, but something that will take a week or more before the batting averages get back to a normal MLB range).

I have been writing down team stats for the entire league after every series and offense has been a slowl and steady climb. A ways to go for sure.

I have reached the conclusion after about 70 games offense is too low.

It has been known for years difficulty doesn't matter but they introduced dynamic difficulty this year. Very small sample size but I changed from dynamic to veteran and I had the two highest scoring games of the season immediately after. It could be just a coincidence.

They also introduced another umpire setting this year. I changed to perfect.

Stolen bases are difficult even with the best base stealers. I suspect the very fast tag animation is the culprit. I also see a high percentage of runners advancing on a wild pitch being throw out. I suspect the same tag animation.

I submitted a bug report which has been deleted.

Last year after the final patch the game played great on default sliders. Maybe the devs will fix it again.
