Well I have just come to the realization that we are the hottest team in baseball. Its not that the sliders are too easy or anything like that because I have tweaked and toyed with sliders a lot. I am not even that great of a player at The Show I am just simply getting lucky.
Bounces are going my way, pitches arent being located in the right spots for the opposing team. My guys are getting to the bloopers before they drop. I am sure this will all catch up to me eventually but I am chalking it up to a hot month of April.
We sit at 18-4 and are on a 7 game winning streak after sweeping the Red Sox and Mariners and are back up to a 4.5 game lead in the division. Game 3 was a blowout. I could tell early on that King Felix just was going to have a bad day, he couldnt locate his sinker and that lead to a lot of walks and a lot of good hitters counts.
Things got a little chippy late in the game after it was already over, Valbuena got plunked by the first pitch for Wade Miley after Felix had given up 6 runs in 3.2 innings.
So I decided to unsportsmanlike later on in the game and send a runner home after we already had like a 8 run lead when I could have just left them at 3rd. Later in the game after Benoit came after Gomez with two high and in fast balls near the head I launched a bomb over the left field fence making it a 13-3 game.
What can I say I get bored sometimes so I make up small storylines for myself lol. (Also Prince Fielder pretty much gets plunked every time I play the Rangers)
McHugh got the complete game which was big because our bullpen had been busy in game 1 & 2.
Some bad news though in Game 1 of the series Colby Rasmus broke his arm and is going to be out for 1-2 months. Tony Kemp got the callup because I think he is the most ready guy but he is just having a rough go of things in the majors. I may send him down and give Andrew Aplin a shot.
