Yes, that's exactly it. Some stats are now year-over-year tracked.

It wasn't a biggie for me...or rather, it's a moot issue for me because my carry over is 10 years deep (was 8 at the time), so even if the last year (2021 for me) imported correctly, that still leaves 7 years of stats missing.

Just like if it imports right in 2017's game...I still have years of "zeroes" - so it will NEVER be accurate for me.

Morale isn't really a huge deal. Yes, it sucks it's not right, but it's a few points of OVR either way. Nothing deal breaking, not going to impact contract/extension negotiations...it's a problem, but nothing earth shaking, imo.

I just ignore it. Guys play just fine (or if they don't, it ain't morale doing it), they'll sign as though they don't care either...not even sure why it's in at this point for how meaningless, net-net, it is to actual gameplay.

Re: MLB 16 Franchise Progress Thread

I'm simming season one of a Giants franchise using A&S sliders and end of season rosters. We went 107-55, tied for the best record in the majors with the Cubs.

Shark led the league in ERA but Lester had two more wins, and so Lester won CY.

            Stats:
            Panik- 11 homers .311
            Pence-24 hr, 85 rbi .284
            Posey-21 hrs 72 rbi .301
            Belt 33 hrs 107 rbi, .304
            Crawford 11 homers 61 rbi .242
            Nunez 12 hr 61 rbi .242
            Span 3 hrs 39 rbi 270
            Pagan 12 hrs 68 .257
            Gillapsie 3 hrs .264
            Adrinaza- 1 hr, .292 in 65 abs
Kelby Tomlinson .279 av in 43

            MadBum- 15-9, 234 ks, 3.17 er
            Cueto 11-13 2.54 era
            Shark 20-5 200 ks 2.21 era
            Moore- 16-7 230 ks, 3.47
            Heston 10-6 3.43

            Peavy-4-3 3.04 era in 71 innings
            Kontos 4-1 2.36 er in 76.1 inung
            Machi 2-0 2.16 er in 8 inn
            STRICKLAND-7-1 43 IP, 45 K 1.85 ER .98 WHIP
            ROMO 67 IP 1.74 ER 0.97 WHIP

Shark got fleeced in the CY vote. The only Giants to win awards were Posey and Pence (Silver Slugger.)

The 102 win Dodgers beat the Nationals in the WC game so we met our rivals in the NLDS. LA jumped out to a 2-0 lead but we bounced back with 2 wins on the road, setting up age 5. Cueto takes on Kazmir in SF in the decisive G5.

The Giants won 6-5 in 11 innings on a walkoff home run from Joe Panik. Panic went 3/5 with two homers to earn POTG honors. Cueto had a good game but made two identical mistakes. Twice in his six innings, he gave up a single to Joc Pederson, followed by a home run from Corey Seager. This put LA on top from the 6th inning onward. The Giants rallied back and eventually took the game in front of the home crowd.

The Giants meet the Mets in the NLCS. SF jumped out to a 2-0 lead but the Mets took the third game. The Giants took game four and now look to clinch the series in game five in Citi Field.

New York Mets. Fortunate enough to not have any injuries to any big names on my team. Finished First in the National League East with a record of 102-60. Noah Syndergaard named MVP AND CY Young finishing with record of 21-8 with a 2.82 ERA and 259 K. Cespedes had 45 HR and 107 RBI. Wright finished with a .298 BA and Familia had 51 Saves.

What I did for the Postseason was play in every game with every team. Alternate teams for NLDS, ALDS and NLCS so I was able to enjoy all of the games in the postseason not just my team. (Played 1st inning, Simmed to 7th, played from there).

First Round of Postseason, Mets beat Pirates 3-1 in NLDS.

Second Round. NLCS. Mets (102-60) vs. Cubs (99-63).
Cubs take game 1 and 2 at Citi Field.
Mets heading into Top 9 Down 3-2 looking at a 3 games to none deficit, facing Aroldis Chapman, Wilmer Flores Home Run to Tie the Game! End up winning game 3 5-3.
Mets Continue to win Game 4 and 5 to take a 3 games to 2 lead going back home.
Game 6. Syndergaard vs. Arrieta. Go into top of the 9th still scoreless. Kris Bryant drives in 2 out run to go ahead 1-0. Cubs win Game 6 to force a Game 7.
Game 7. Matz vs. Lester. Lagares hits leadoff Home Run in 1st inning. Added another homerun in the 3rd. Conforto off the bench hits a 2 run home run. Mets Clinch Game 7 (Series of my life in any baseball video game).

Heading to the World Series to face the Cleveland Indians.
Ended up Sweeping the Cleveland Indians in 4 games. After facing the Chicago Cubs, this series was a walk in the park. No real close games, Little bummed but satisfied with the result. Neil Walker was WS MVP, Conforto ended with 6 postseason home runs.

Finished the Offseason, brought back everyone except Rene Rivera, Alejandro De Aza. Extended Wheeler for 3 yrs, deGrom for 4 yrs, Matz for 5 yrs, Harvey for 6 yrs, Syndergaard for 7 yrs, Conforto for 9 yrs. Signed Steve Pearce to play RF vs Lefties (Platoon with Granderson). Brought back Walker on a 2 yr deal. Drafted a A POT First Baseman and Center Fielder, along with a B POT Catcher and Starting Pitcher. All of them will start in A-Ball.

2017 Mets looking to repeat as World Series Champions!

                Chicago Cubs Franchise
                Playoff Update

We have reached the month of October and are approaching the playoffs. The Cubs played very well in the month of September, allowing them to lock up the division, despite waiting until the last week of the season to do so. The Cubs went 7-2 on a road trip from Sept 5-14 (3 at MIL, 3 at HOU, 3 at STL). The Cubs wound up closing the season winning 8 of their last 9 games, including 6 in a row on the road. This bodes well in the playoffs for the Cubs as they showed a true balance at home and on the road.

In the midst of the winning, Anthony Rizzo had an impressive 5 game stretch where he went 10-17 with 3 HR 6 RBI and 2 doubles (3 vs MIL, 2 vs CIN).

The Cubs finished 100-62, going 51-30 at home and 49-32 on the road.

                Some miscellaneous stats:
Dexter Fowler led the Cubs with 14 HBP
Jason Heyward played in 160 games, leading all Cubs position players.
Travis Wood batted 2-8 with 1 HR and 1 RBI on the season
The team leader in WAR was Kris Bryant at 6.43.

The Cubs are going into the playoffs healthy, returning all of their players from injury. The following will be the playoff matchups in the upcoming postseason:

                AL Wild Card

Texas Rangers (84-78) at New York Yankees (85-77)
Projected Starters: Yu Darvish (11-15, 3.13 ERA) vs Masahiro Tanaka (16-5, 3.32 ERA)

                NL Wild Card

San Francisco Giants (94-68) at St Louis Cardinals (95-67)
Projected Starters: Madison Bumgarner (14-7, 2.26 ERA) vs Adam Wainwright (9-8, 3.17 ERA)

                Divisional Series
ALDS - Kansas City Royals (85-77) vs Houston Astros (92-70)

                Game 5: Kershaw vs Strasburg

                SF/STL vs Chicago Cubs (100-62)
Chicago Projected: Game 1: Jake Arrieta (21-6, 2.76 ERA)
                Game 2: Jon Lester (19-6, 2.56 ERA)
                Game 3: Kyle Hendricks (14-10, 3.83 ERA)
                Game 4: John Lackey (13-8, 3.65 ERA)
                Game 5: Arrieta

In the below stats, keep in mind that Rizzo missed over a month due to a knee injury in May.

Re: MLB 16 Franchise Progress Thread

All-time franchise milestone for me in MLBTS, or any sports game period: I just finished season five in my Dodgers franchise.

This game is so amazing. The first few years I played on starter's starts until the ASB, then played 1 game a series if it was close, or simmed until the playoffs if it was not close. Then I played the whole playoffs.

Once I passed 4 years and the team was starting to reflect my own roster building strategy, I slowed down to 1 game a series, all the way through.

Now, entering year six, the game remains as compelling as ever.

I had my first season's draft picks make it to the majors in seasons four and five, respectively, and several of my draft picks or prospects that I'd been developing since year one played crucial roles in my season 5 WS championship team. That's an amazing feeling.

After two straight 20-win campaigns and two straight Cy Young awards, I made Kershaw a Dodger for life with a major extension after season 5. I also extended Seager and Urias until their age-30 seasons. It's been fun to see them mature into franchise cornerstones.

Somehow, the beleaguered Puig managed to hang on and not get traded, despite my constant desire to get rid of him. He's been a .270 hitter with 15 HR pretty much for the life of the franchise, but he's been timely in the post-season, and he does just enough things just well enough to keep around.

Kudos to SCEA on a helluva game this year!

Re: MLB 16 Franchise Progress Thread

The Marlins will be without their long reliever/6th starter as Ozzie Luis took a shot to the head and will be out for over 6 months.

At first, he was evaluated for a concussion and might be in the protocol for a while. However, further examination discovered physical damage to the skull that would need to be repaired. When that was found, it was clear he would need to be shutdown for the year.

Luis serves as a versatile swing man in the Marlins bullpen, having the stuff to handle multiple late-inning outings or suck up innings early on when a starter is knocked out. In his last game, Luis was working in the middle innings as Bartlett was more like "bad Bartlett" and lifted for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the 6th.

Coming up to fill the void will be the ultra-finesse lefty arm of Loren Rasmussen. He's one of the slowest non-knuckleballers in the league. His fastball will be around 80 MPH as is his sinker. His curve and change-up come in around 70.

Rasmussen posted the best ERA among the prospects at AAA New Orleans, so he was rewarded with the first shot at filling the gap at the parent club.

The Marlins are 22-9, just 1 1/2 games ahead of the Mets as things stand.

                      Chris Davis Reaches #2000
Milestone Hit was a Home Run

Chris Davis loves timing his milestone hits for something dramatic or at least more than the usual. His 500th home run was a walk-off shot.

Now his 2000th hit? Another home run, drawing him closer to 550 for a career as he continues to pound baseballs at 36 years old.

"I feel fortunate to keep it going like I have. I love doing it for these guys and for the fans. This organization has been so loyal to me, so this is some pay back for them, " Davis spoke after the game.

The Davis achievement overshadowed yet another dominant outing from Damian Boeve. He gave up 1 lonesome hit in a complete game effort, striking out 17 in the process.

"He's scary when he's on and locked in like this. I mean, he's good enough to get by just screwing around and having fun with the opposing hitters, but he was pitching mad and just zoned in. He didn't say two words all game, he was that focused. That's out of character for him but we just let him be and let him do his thing, " Tommy Cruz, the Marlins catcher, spoke.

Boeve was probably feeling the frustration of suffering a no decision his last time out despite giving up 1 run (none earned) in 7 innings of work.

The shutout was his third in seven outings this season and his record is 5-0 with 84 Ks in 56 innings of work. He had seven shutouts all last season. His now 1.13 ERA is, believe it or not, barely good enough for the NL lead. Still, he's on track for yet another drop in his ERA. He's yet to see his ERA increase year-over-year in his career. It's gone from 2.76 to 1.64 in his six seasons.

                        Chicago Cubs Franchise
                        Divisional Series

We are through the divisional series and it was an exciting one for the Cubs. First off, in the Wild Card games, staring with the National League, the San Francisco Giants managed to beat the St Louis Cardinals 2 to 0 behind a Madison Bumgarner complete game (the legend continues). Bumgarner struck out 10 and only gave up 3 hits en route to ousting the Cardinals. In the American League, the Texas Rangers beat the New York Yankees 5 to 3, advancing to face the Toronto Blue Jays in what could be a fiery rematch.

Focusing on the Cubs, they know their opponent now, as they prepare to host the Giants.

Game 1: The Cubs and Giants were locked up in quite the pitchers duel as Johnny Cueto and Jake Arrieta faced off in game 1. Brandon Crawford broke the ice in the top of the 5th with a solo shot into right field to give the Giants a 1-0 lead. Jason Heyward responded in the bottom of the 6th with a 2 run blast to give the Cubs the lead. Matt Duffy, however, nodded the game back up at 2 in the 6th. The difference in this game, though, would be a Heyward sac fly in the 8th that scored Addison Russell to put the Cubs up 1-0 in the series.

Game 2: Game 2 would be an extra innings thriller. Lester struggled in his start, spotting the Giants 3 runs before being taken out after the 4th. Buster Posey tacked on another run in the 5th and the Giants were up 4. However, Addison Russell cut that lead in half with a double in the 6th. In the 8th, Kyle Schwarber blasted a 2 run home run off starter Jeff Samardzija to tie the game. Top 13, a squeeze bunt from Jarrett Parker scored the winning run and the Giants evened up the series.

Game 3: More late heroics would occur in this game, this time by Javier Baez, who hit a 3 run home run to seal the Giants' fate, building upon a 3-2 lead, moments after Willson Contreras hit an RBI single. The Cubs were able to oust Bumgarner after just 5 1/3 innings, getting to their bullpen. The Giants' pen just couldn't hold the Cubs back any longer and the 4 run 8th would be their undoing, putting the Cubs up 2-1.

                        Spoiler

Game 4: Game 4 would be an intense pitchers duel in San Francisco between John Lackey and Matt Cain. Cain wound up pitching 9 innings, but still did not get the win, despite giving up just 2 hits and 1 walk. John Lackey only went 5 2/3 innings, but also pitched shutout baseball. Aroldis Chapman got into trouble in the bottom of the 10th and C.J. Edwards would walk Buster Posey with the bases loaded, allowing the Giants to force a game 5 back in Chicago.

                        Box Score:
                        Spoiler

Game 5: It would be Johnny Cueto vs Jake Arrieta part 2 in Chicago for a winner-takes-all game 5. Arrieta pitched 4 2/3 stellar innings before being taken out due to some elbow discomfort. The Cubs' pen picked up where he left off however, not allowing another run in the game. The Cubs' bats got to Cueto, getting 4 runs in 5+ innings. Rizzo came up with a huge home run in the 4th, then followed that up with an RBI single in the 6th, knocking Cueto out of the game. Miguel Montero had a solo shot in the 5th as well. The Cubs win this game 4 to 1 and win the series.

                        In the other series;
The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Washington Nationals in 4 games.

In the American League, the Toronto Blue Jays eliminate the Texas Rangers in 4 games and will face the Houston Astros, who also beat the Kansas City Royals in 4 games.

Loren Rasmussen made his debut in a blowout win for the Marlins, and it didn't go well. He gave up a lot of hits in two innings, including a 2-run HR. He did notch his first career strikeout, but that was about the only thing positive.

His struggles were just a footnote in the game, however. Bo Winter captured the headlines with a 5-for-5 effort that included 3 HR and 5 RBI. He also picked up an outfield assist on nice one-hop throw to the plate.

The self-styled "best outfielder in the game" has been living up to the talk as he's on track for a career year. He's posting a .357/.428/.721 line that includes 13 HR and 32 RBI in 146 PA.

My Mets are currently in first place in the NL East, about a game up on the Marlins in the first week of June. During the course of the last week I lost Syndergaard, Cespedes, and Reyes for 2-3 months. Syndergaard looked like he could repeat as CY Young, Cespedes looked like he would be in the running for MVP, and Reyes was batting .340 at the top of the order. To say that hurt would be an understatement. Will be interesting to see if I can keep the ship afloat until the big guns return for the home stretch...

                              Boeve Lowers ERA to 1.00
Marlins Ace Follows 1-hitter With 7 Innings of 2-hit Ball

In his last two starts, Boeve has allowed a total of 3 hits in 16 innings with 28 strikeouts and 2 walks.

                              Insane.

When Boeve said that he was glad to be done with the contract stuff so he could focus on "getting even better", folks thought he was just saying the right things or showing his strong work ethic.

Guess everyone should have known better. He meant it for real. After all, this is a pitcher who as a AA prospect picked up a 100 MPH fastball almost out of nowhere. Also a pitcher who has yet to see his ERA go up year-over-year. He's, literally, been constantly getting better.

Boeve's lowered his ERA to an even 1.00 and is really starting to catch even more attention as a result as he threatens to put up one of the lowest ERAs in the modern era.

"He's mixing his pitches better and getting command of all of them. I guess next he'll throw a knuckleball and lower his ERA to a half-run per nine innings, " skipper Don Mattingly joked.

Boeve with a knuckleball. Hitters have two things to say about that: 1) That shouldn't be allowed, and 2) Don't give him any ideas.

"If he starts throwing a knuckler, I quit. I will retire right there as soon as he throws it. And I don't mean 'retire' as 'make an out'. I mean, I'm done with this game, " Mets right fielder Jay Bruce commented, "I know it will be time to get out. No way. I'll walk into clubhouse, flip a table or two, and then leave for good."

Speaking of the Mets, they are trying their best to hang around. Marlins have expanded the lead to 5 games, but they are still hanging in. Jay Bruce is not helping the cause much, batting .191. Maybe the Mets secretly hope he does quit.

                              Loren Rasmussen to Start

Rasmussen got another relief appearance and, once again, got crushed. This time even worse as he gave up 3 runs in 2 innings this time and didn't get a strikeout.

He'll get a start as Bartlett reported having a dead arm. So the Marlins will skip Bartlett's turn and give Rasmussen a chance as a starter.

"Maybe he's got the kind of stuff or the mentality that just won't work in the bullpen. Perhaps he will be more at ease and in the game knowing he's going out there from the start, " pitching coach Davis Gonzales spoke.

Rasmussen will need to take advantage of this opportunity. Both he and fellow prospect Robinson Mota have not looked very impressive this season.
