Hey guys. So looking back in the thread theres a few deals for Carlos Gonzalez (Cargo). taking what i saw and inputting some stats i wanted to see what seems good for a trade. MID 2016 season 65 games played

Carlos Gonzalez 15/43/.346/2.88 WAR (60 games played)

To RedSox's for Eduardo Rodriguez 6-2 2.83 ERA 2.19 WAR + Harry Owens (AAA) + Sam Travis (AAA)

To Indians for Justus Sheffield OR Brady Aiken (B - LHP) + Bradley Zimmer OR Clint Frazier (A - OF)

OMG you would get ripped off on the chi chi gonzalez trade, for the sake of your franchise I suggest you don't do that one. Also the trade with the Indians is too much for Cargo, despite his great play. Sorry for being mean. My main question is how is the Red Sox pitching and the Orioles outfield playing?

EDIT: The problem I see with the Orioles is why they would want Parra back?

The Orioles wouldn't take Parra back so that trade is out the question. The Chi Chi Gonzales deal is terrible as The Rockies are getting completely fleeced. The Indians trade is eh. The Red Sox deal is the closest to a possible deal as that's the type of haul it will take to get a player of Cargo's caliber and under contract for multiple years.

Gonzalez is a very good option as he plays the entire infield. Just compensate Houston properly and I don't see any problem with that

Never being mean when stating facts/truth thanks for the input.

The Orioles wouldn't take Parra back so that trade is out the question. The Chi Chi Gonzales deal is terrible as The Rockies are getting completely fleeced. The Indians trade is eh. The Red Sox deal is the closest to a possible deal as that's the type of haul it will take to get a player of Cargo's caliber and under contract for multiple years.

Figured the Indians deal would be a stretch.

Totally forget thats where he (Parra) played some of last season. But would be an upgrade in left with Rickard / Kim hitting in the low .200's

As for the Blackmon trade, with his numbers you may have his value decreased a ton, but you also a dominant left handed reliever in there so the value is still pretty good. As well as chi chi, you can prolly pull Luis Ortiz and Matuella if you are looking at young arms. But Matuella can also be switched with Yeyson Yrizarri.

If you really want to give the Orioles some outfield play you could send Blackmon there instead. For Blackmon you could probably pull like DJ Stewart and Jonah Heim if you're looking for young catching.

EDIT: Actually Matuella may not be getting moved due to his constant injuries and upside. So look for Yrizzari and Ortiz as extra pieces in that deal.

Okay that sounds good. Really only wanted Sisco out of Baltimore so i would look to move Perra somewhere else with an outfield need.

Im not really sure I like the Red Sox trade. I don't think the Red Sox would give up two young arms who could both pitch in the bigs during their playoff run even if their other starters are doing well.

I could be wrong here but I feel like if CarGo is playing that well it wouldn't be out of the question to land Kopech/Espinoza instead of ERod.

Maybe Im valuing CarGo too much, but I don't think the Coors Park effect would haunt him in Boston as the AL East has some very hitter friendly parks.

As far as the Rangers trade, you can probably pick just about any prospect you want (no Brinson or Gallo though) to bring back along with Chi Chi.

I would love Cargo in my Twins chise but because I'm a small market team and I already have some big contracts on the book (Nolasco, Santana, Mauer), it would be hard to get his contract here.

He is also on my list. I was also looking at Forsythe but he is killing it! he is second in the league in Home Runs and second in Average.

There is Rutledge or maybe even Chris Owings at a pinch. Are you sure that your backup can't just fill in, or is he really not ready? It looks like his fielding is pretty good, am I right that his hitting is below average?

Just move Plouffe to 2B, Sano to 3B and throw Buxton/Kepler in the OF
