I'd say he definitely has a low b value with those stats, at least. What teams are contending and need a catcher?

Away from the game right now. I know Texas was intriguing because I'm interested in Profar. I'll list the other teams in contention when I get a chance.

There's no scenario where James McCann nets Profar. Gonna have to set your sights lower

There's no shot of you getting Profar. You could maybe get Luis Ortiz or a mix of Mike Matuella and Josh Morgan.

Is there anyway to get profar to Detroit or is he just out of the question for any reasonable package Detroit could offer? Even a 3 team deal with one of my other infielders going somewhere and a prospect going back. If not I'll just hold off on a trade until I can you more details.

I dont think that the Padres would be willing to give up Wil Myers if he is playing anywhere near to what he is rn, what are their stats?

Both players were having decent years, but not the years they are having IRL.

Julio had a 3.8 or so ERA/1.15 WHIP I believe
Myers was around .250BA, 12 HR's or so, 2nd week in July

I think I also grabbed a C prospect SP

Texas receives
Andrew Miller

Detroit receives
Jurickso Profar
Ian Clarkin

New York Yankees receives
JD Martinez

I'm not sure this works out because the Padres love Wil Myers and just traded for him. There is no immediate need for them to give him up right now for 2 or 3 starter at best.

Miller would be able to pull Profar. Have you seen any trades for elite closers? I'm not saying my proposal was perfect but I don't think the value is that off. Profar doesn't cone with 6 years of team control like a lot of prospects coming up. He only has 4. That's a big difference

Profar is elite in his own right tho and an infielder is way more valuable than an elite closer. Your value isn't that far off just may need some tweaking

I wouldn't label him Elite just yet. He's finally healthy to even play. Lost 2014 and 2015 to shoulder injury, that's a big red flag for any team trying to trade for him. Not saying he won't or can't get back to what the Rangers saw that made them trade Kinsler.

Profar just won't be traded till he has some time to prove he's not made of glass. Rangers hold on to him for a while longer.
