Not even close for Teheran and closer for Ventura since he's a knucklehead and wants to throw at everyone but probably still not enough talent. Realistically though that package isn't very valuable at all. Teams want quality in return, not one 50fv and two warm bodies

Just heard this on the radio. Yordano for JBJ/Shaw. Who hangs up first?

High B and High C prospect good for Pederson? He's on the bench. Van Slyke starts ahead of him. Start of third season. Both prospects are positional prospectsOakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit TigersPittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay PackersDetroit Red WingsComment

In real life the Tigs think they have their backstop of the future in McCann, but I dont care about that anymore. I just cant hit with McCann or Salty.
Would a package around Moya get it done? Maybe like Moya, Burrows or Hill, and another C potential prospect??Oakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit TigersPittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay PackersDetroit Red WingsComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
The Red Sox. If we trade 2 young starters in our lineup, it better be for someone who isn't inconsistent with attitude problems. JBJ and Shaw should bring back a better #2/3 then VenturaComment

It would only be one. That's what the slash means.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I don't think it's that bad. Ventura has a cheap extension and a lot of talent. Shaw and JBJ both need to prove this is legit and not a flash in the pan. Don't think it happens but shouldn't cause outrage eitherComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Exactly. I don't think it will happen but it seems logical. And I agree completely with JBJ. Dude is streaky as they come. He has a 29 game hitting streak then can't seem to get hits since it has ended. He is hitting in like the low .200s since his streak ended. Also people seem to forget that Ugly start he had when he first came off after a great spring training. And Shaw literally came out of nowhere last year. Dude was a fringe top 10 prospect in our organization and nowhere near the top 100 overall.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Did Lorenzo Cain dematerialize? I don't see the point for KC to trade for a guy who has so much value on defense and to then stick him in an OF corner, which is where JBJ would go in this scenario. If the Royals had a vacancy in CF or didn't plan on keeping Cain around, it would be different. Ditto Shaw-Moustakas.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Assuming he is pitching well, at least Kaprielian or Gary Sanchez as the headliner and adding to that. Theres a big difference between wanting to potentially trade someone because they are a headache and wanting to kick them out of town. With the options Ventura would be under control through 2021 so it would take a pretty good haul.
If KC didnt have the dominant bullpen, I would say a young SP would be a good main piece for an Andrew Miller deal. Problem is NYY has little to trade that isn't in the back half of their 30'sComment
