Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I disagree. I've seen Tate rated as high as #18 (MLB.com or BA). In most places, no lower than 30. While I am a Texas fan, I try to remain unbiased. And I think a top 30 player, plus Profar, is simply too much for a 30 yr old catcher. Three years ago Profar was the top prospect in baseball. And it wasn't a lack of production that made him somewhat fall off the grid. It was injuries. And, he appears to be healthy now.Comment

Thought this was funny. Check out what Lucroy says about big city'sAttached FilesNewYork Mets | NewYork Knicks | NewYork "Football" Giants

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
So what would be the most realistic package for Lucroy for the mets?
Something like:
D'arnaud
Rosario
WheelerComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I don't really think there is one. Lucroy doesn't like the city and the Mets aren't going to meet the asking price on a guy sure to bolt in 1.5 years time. Check out the post 2 posts above yours. I think you'd want to re-phrase as "most fair".Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Originally posted by joejoe0783I wish it was the trade deadline so Lucroy can finally be traded, which I think he will be, so we all will know what his value is. A lot of fans don't want to give up top prospects for players. They feel their team will never trade thease players to get a top catcher. Which is fine. We all do it. I am just having a hard time trying to trade Lucroy in my franchise b/c I want to be fair & realistic. I really like the Rangers & Red Sox prospects. Ive read guys like Gallo or Brinson or Tate or Moncada or etc. would never be included. So I have no idea what to offer. I will probably just come up with one where I think is fair b/c again this is just a video game. It's meant to have fun & not letting my OCD get in the way😀
FTR, I never implied that the Rangers wouldn't trade one of their top prospects in a deal for Lucroy. I just seriously doubt they would trade two. Or Profar + a top prospect.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
In mid June right now as Detroit. Probably out of the race but I'm gonna wait until the week after the all star game to reevaluate. James McCann is hitting. 320 with 5 hr and 26rbi, and 1.81war. At this rate what kind of value does he have? I'm completely fine with resigning Salty because of his switch hitting and picking up something for mccann.

Realistically, if you sell him to a team in desperate need of a Starting Catcher, you could get that Mid-B prospect. But if it's a team that just needs depth or backup, probably the C prospects.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I swear I've ran way too many franchises this year, but I kinda like this trade for both teams:
Braves Get:
Wil Myers
Padres Get:
Julio Teheran
Both teams rebuilding, both players fit a need. Braves want a young ARB to pre-ARB RH power threat, Padres need pitching. They traded Tyson Ross right before this move to the Red Sox for Owens and a few other prospects. Wil Myers goes to LF for the Braves, I'll figure out something with Olivera later, probably keep him and see how he plays.Comment
