I aim to keep it semi realistic. Like I won't go for Trout or those guys. I do like to make a couple deals throughout the year and work the waiver wire. So mainly fair with some realism.

What do you guys mean by lottery tickets lol?? Have any examples of a lottery ticket?

I substantiated that by saying it gave him more value in a sense - not that it made him better.

Why would it make him more valuable if it wasn't reflective of skill?

Cy Young winners are garbage... you're right.

              MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

Here are some deals I have thought of:

              1) Hutchinson+Loup for Odorizzi.

              2) Vlad Guerrero Jr. + Pentecost + Hutch for Strasburg.

              3) Pompey + Pentecost + Hutch for Gio or Cashner

              4) Happ + Jenkins + Pompey or other prospect for Sheilds + Margot

              5) Pompey + Hutch (?another +) for Bailey

              6) Travis + for Teheran

Just because Kluber won a CY Young two seasons ago doesn't automatically make him a better pitcher in 2016 than Corrasco is the point I think we're trying to make here. Nobody said Kluber isn't valuable or a very good pitcher. They're both the same age, and both have a lot of trade value.

You think Kluber is better, AC thinks Corrasco is better. This isn't going anywhere. Can we move on from this?

I never said better... he did. My issue is with his holier than thou attitude with almost every retort. It's rather offputting... I honestly don't care at this point. It's his thread. Have at it.

Waiting for OSFM rosters to start a franchise but figured I'd start getting ideas on trades now. I am going to play as the White Sox. I want a big left handed bat in the middle of the order and want to make the most realistic moves as possible. What are some good ideas? I was thinking CarGo but idk what a fair offer would be.

I think a package around Fulmer or Anderson would be too much or not realistic, honestly. After the Frazier trade, there's not a lot there to work with. Probably some guys like Spencer Adams, Jordan Guerrero, Tyler Danish involved in any deal.. I don't know.

White Sox buying is a bad situation to be in with that system.

I would like to trade Lucroy to the Rangers, a scenario I kept on hearing during the offseason. I am definitely willing to package him with some other players like Smith or Peralta. I kept on hearing scenarios like Brison, Tate, Jurado, Ortiz, etc. What do you guys think? Thanks!
Lucroy could probably net you either Brinson + Tate + maybe a low level lottery type of guy, or Brinson + Ortiz + Jurado.

Yeah I'd basically be trading anyone not named Fulmer or Anderson. Also factor in CarGo's contract (which won't be accurate in game but still bigger). Another one I though of was a rental of Josh Reddick for one year. I was thinking something along the lines of Danish/Guerrero, May/Engel, and Carlos Sanchez?

So I need to do something with the Indians BP.

How can I get 2 of

                              Brian Matusz
                              Marcos Mateo
                              Kevin Quackenbush
                              Yimi Garcia
                              Tyler Clippard
                              Andrew Chafin
                              Tony Cigrani
                              Neil Ramirez
                              Mike Dunn
                              Tony Sipp
                              Keone Kela
                              Charlie Furbush
                              Luke Hochevar
                              Brett Cecil

How hard is it to trade for RP in general ?

You should be fine. I really like Quackenbush as a right now option, and Andrew Chafin is young, controllable, and could probably make a spot start. Shouldn't be hard to trade for either of them, both are definitely realistic, just flip a guy with a 2nd division ceiling, I'd think.

Also, Randall Delgado could be worth a look.
