I agree. They wouldn't trade any of them. Most likely to go is Harvey. But they're not trading anyone. But he'll just ask to know who so I gave him my opinion.

Any "Ace" in the league will more than likely cost you Mookie and 1-2 of devers/Espinoza/benintendi to start

Mookie is already an mlb starter tho. I was looking at the Shelby Miller trade and they didnt really give up any big starter. They did trade a couple of top prospects but nothing like Mookie

Inciarte was an established MLB starter and had 3.3 WAR last year which is a solid player. Aces cost an absolute fortune and Miller wasn't an Ace

OK maybe I didnt express myself well. What im looking for is a pticher 84 ovr or better. Not exactly an ace. Any pticher in that rating range that is atainable? I like Walker from Seattle for example but u could give other examples

Any trade you ask about gets a response saying you need to give up more. It seems you want a good player without giving up anything. It's very rare that a team just accepts way lesser value for top level talent player in a trade

Yeah you're right man, I wasn't evaluating the trades well.
On this pitcher trade though, I'm willing to give up a top prospect. I just need a good pitcher right now

So go get a veteran pitcher who's more of a 1-2 year rental over a guy in their prime.

I'm not sure what ratings are but what about a guy like Phil Hughes from MIN? What about C.J. Wilson from LAA?

Phil Hughes is interesting but wouldn't really be improving my lineup

How about Gio Gonzalez? Or Samardzija. What's their price?

Oakland puts Sonny Gray on the block in season two. I'm not sure how far in you are, but they can't retain him on their payroll, it seems, so you might look at an organization like that that has a consistently low payroll and see if there are guys like Gray who are coming up on arbitration years or FA years.

If you can find a target like that and can send a few highly rated prospects with years of team control, that might be another alternative to finding a rental guy at the end of his career.

If you are looking for a rental guy, McCarthy from LAD might be a decent target. His salary is about $4.5M for 3 years in OSFM 2.5, and while his H/9 rating causes him to get roughed up from time to time, he'll be a decent back of the rotation guy for a couple of seasons. Plus LAD has more pitchers than they can play...

Hmm, I'm in my first season, would a trade for Gray be possible now? What would it take?
The Rays are a low budget team and Odorizzi/Smyly are both on their last year. What would they sell them for?

You have to be realistic here, Odorizzi and Smyly are young pitchers with team control, just because they are on their last year in the game doesnt mean that the team doesnt have control for the next couple years. Its gonna take a lot to get a young pitcher with team control like those guys.
