I knew that, I was just showing an example of who you need to start with to acquire such talent like Sale. Nick Gordon and Tyler Jay are both A potential players and top 5 in my system. He was starting with Owens and Blake who are B potential prospects.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
I understand what you guys are saying and I agree that some Red Sox fans over value some prospects. That being said it is way to early to call Swihart a bust. He was progressing perfectly fine for a young catcher before being demoted for really no good reason. He should still be catching for the MLB team Vaz should still be in AAA but someone decided to stick a guy with an above average catcher bat but average OF bat in LF.
I think it is still possible for Swihart to right the ship and end up a pretty good switch hitting catcher. It may not be for Boston though since they seem to be screwing up his development about as badly as you could.
Lets not call a guy with a 271 batting average who only has 380 PA in the majors a bust just yet.
On a side note, anyone else have feedback on my trade from page 327?Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
What are your guys opinions on closers? Currently in a franchise with the cubbies and have started to become annoyed with taking out strop/warren/Ramirez in the 8th and putting in Rondon...it almost feels like a waste of a player when I know one of my relievers can come in the 8th and work out 6 outs to finish the game.
Trying to keep things mildly realistic, who'd be a good target for the cubbies in a deal with Rondon & maybe soler?
Cubbies sit at 10-13 (multiple 1 run loss games/extra innings). Starters have done well & hitting is a little sluggish on the contact side but power is great.~ Return of the King ~Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
For Sale we would have to include both of them and probably have two of our big three, Benintendi, Moncanda, Espinoza. Then maybe if we add someone like a Johnson we could get Nate Jones or Putnam back as well.Come hang with me on YouTube! I really wasn't. I wasn't really in the discussion right then for Sale, just giving my two cents on this whole thing.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
So I am flying through the season and every week i throw a trade possibility out here in the thread and I use my knowledge as well as others to see if they would be realistic and I write them down for when I get to a point in my season when I want to pull the trade. I have another possibility here for starting pitching. i know I have the prospects to deal for a guy like Sale or Gray but I highly doubt Sale would go to the Twins. Gray is high on my list but I really need a lefty. Paul Morosi just relesed a new blog today about the trade value of Drew Pomeranz and Jake Odorizzi. I am looking at Drew Pomeranz right now as he is still under control for 2 more years after this year and is a lefty who could help stable my rotation which has 5 righties. As Pomeranz isn't a "superstar" talent or a top tier pitcher, I figured I coudl snag him for Alex Meyer B potential starter and another B potential prospect or a C. What is everyone's thoughts?Follow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Meyer doesn't have the command to be a SP. That hurts his value. If Pomeranz is pitching anything like real life it will take more than the 10th or so best prospect in the Twins system. The Padres would likely trade him, but with the team control it would take something they like not something the Twins liked. If you switched Meyer with Kohl Stewart or Tyler Jay you might be in business to do him and another B potential guy.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
DD isn't afraid of trading the whole farm away to win now. That's probably why the Tigers could never develop talent and their system is now barren.DETROITComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Could also be that they sign old guys to huge contracts. Without DD trading they would have lost Price for just a QO and wouldn't have Norris, and same with Cespedes and FulmerComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Tyler Jay who is my 4th best prospect for Pomeranz I believe is way too much. Jay is a guy who you would put in a deal for someone like Gray. Pomeranz is 2-3 with a 4 ERA i believe so far in my season when I checked last night but I can double check when my game is done that I am in right now. I could part with Kohl Stewart if needed. Reason why I said Meyers is because he is 4-1 with a 1.20 ERA so far in Triple-A. He was next in line to get the call up if I had a starter go down but I figured use him as trade bait as his value is going up with his solid start to season.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
If Meyers is pitching well he could be used, but it will take a better second piece than you would use with Jay or Stewart. Think Polanco or Gordan. One of those SS would need to be added. His swinging strike rate is top 20 in the game, just .1 behind Arrieta and ahead of deGrom and Grienke. That's expensiveFollow my Twins franchise http://www.operationsports.com/Tmizzle/dynasty/Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
If you want to base this on just how they are producing in the game and not real life we need all the stats for all the guys you're considering. K/9 FIP and WAR things like that. ERA/Wins/Batting Average/RBI are not a good measure of a players worth.Comment
