It's just tough. Outside of Giolito, Lopez and Voth are the next two bigtime P prospects. Would be tough for me as a Nats fan. I would throw another reliever in there as closer before I traded him--unless you told me I was getting Chapman or Miller. Then I would be OK with it. McGee....not as impressive.

I think you could possibly be overvaluing Lopez a bit, most experts believe with his motion that he has a high chance of being a 8th or 9th inning guy instead of a high profile starter.

Because that's in 2-3 years, McGee is a guy that could be their closer right now.

Hello everyone, I am seeking trade advice for my Astros franchise. Right now, my 1B position is just not cutting it, but AJ Reed is struggling to start the season in AAA and he is not ready to be called up. I am looking to trade for someone like Will Myers or a holdover 1B until Reed is ready to call up. What kind of prospects should I offer to either acquire Myers or who should I target at 1B?

So I usually always decline trade offered from the CPU but I was offered a deal after my game last night that entices me.

Blue Jays get:
Jermaine Palacios SS

Twins get:
Devon Travis 2B

Devon Travis is rotting in Triple-A for the Blue Jays as Darwin Barney is playing out his mind hitting .300 and not slowing down. For me, Dozier is still hurt and he is out another 1-2 months and Jorge Polanco is struggling at 2B since being called up. I could slide Travis in at 2B until Dozier is back and then slide Travis over to SS because Nunez has fallen off as well lately.

Gonna have to give up a little bit more than your #18 prospect to get Devon Travis. Darwin Barney is a glove first guy, and probably won't sustain his .300 average, and even if he does will not put up the same production as Travis in the future, especially with power numbers.

Palacios ranks as the #12 prospect and this could give Toronto a great future at the SS position. I figured I would possibly need to give them another piece or swap them out. I was thinking of giving them Max Kepler but he is my #3 prospect and for a guy like Travis, that is over doing it in my opinion.

Yeah Palacios isn't enough. Maybe add an arm with upside. A guy outside the top 10 on his team won't get a 2B with a power profile

I wouldn't call a 145 lb guy, hitting under .200 in Single-A, with little power, and not much speed a "great" future shortstop. Definitely gonna need to add a young arm

I don't care what he is doing in real life. He is hitting .345 with 4 HR 31 RBI in Double-A.

That would have been nice to know. If you don't provide stats all we have to judge on is what the player is doing IRL.

I also kind of assumed he was still in Single A in your franchise since he's only 19

This. You also didn't let us know how Travis is playing in AAA

His original post did mention that Travis was playing in AAA, which is why i pointed out that Darwin Barney is not as good an option as your everyday 2B as Travis would be

I really didn't take the trade offer seriously like i originally stated in the post because CPU trade offers are usually garbage anyway but this one just enticed me since it is a need. My biggest need is a SP and a Catcher badly but I want to see where I sit around deadline before I make a big splash.
