Just checked them out (1st download!!) lol. Two things, #1 I am quite impressed. #2, is an effect from #1. Idk how long it would take, but your roster has kind of inspired me to do a roster (off of the base rosters) that would be a complete 90 through maybe 05. Not a 90 man of course, but get rid of all of the current players, kind of do an "all 90's" 25 man, and add about 5-15 extra players to each team? I REALLY would love to do that, and seeing how I have no experience doing a roster I was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping a bit?

        My current plan is:
        1) get good caps (mainly concerned for faces/gear to save time) start uploading and editing players.
        2) drop ratings down and ages a bit, to adjust for these being the bulk of the fantasy draft roster.
        3) get it all set up, and than hopefully we can all enjoy a "throwback fantasy".

P.S. Not trying to steal your thunder at all! Just seeing some of these players got me excited, and I know it's a lot of work for 1 person, but it's something i know I will enjoy

In regards to that roster, I am using a 1990, 1998 & 2001 base roster, once I get them all out into one roster, I'll comb through and see if I missed out on anyone important & edit ratings accordingly (not making a 21 yr old jeter a 95 that type of thing). Any thoughts

              @Marino

Bro...really really cool fantasy roster. I am super pumped to hold a draft this weekend and create another team. Although The Matheny Manifesto will be my primary focus (it will be multi year Y2Y franchise as I am in love with the team) and all I post about here....I will post the results of my draft with this set and will approach it as a one season type of season. I may even just do it in season mode play one sim 5, then draft all over again at the conclusion of each season. The roster is sweet man, great stuff.

A bittersweet victory. Syndergaard pitched 7 innings allowed 3 hits and 2 runs striking out 9. Gardner went 2-4 with a triple, and Correa went 2-3 with a triple and two rbis. In the top of the seventh LeMahieu singled in Gardner. With Correa up, a pickoff attempt was made on LeMahieu. Lemahieu slid into first, and was obviously in pain. He was replaced by Charlie Culberson. After the game, AJ Hinch announced that LeMahieu had suffered a broken forearm and is expected to miss 1 to 2 months. This especially hurts, as LeMahieu was batting .381 out of the #2 hole and providing excellent defense. Who will be called up to pick up the slack? Tyler white or Ryan goins? This win really hurt

                  Slumping Sox Hang On

Dickey got the ball, hoping to have a good start for a change and to maybe try to turn things around for the Sox.

He managed a decent outing, giving up 3 runs in 7+ innings of work. He came out for the 8th but quickly hit the wall as he had a runner on and having given up 2 runs already in the inning.

Farrell quickly brought Chapman into the game - maybe not even fully warm. Adam Jones blooped a hit just fair on the right field line to put runners on the corners.

Then Stirkeout, Popup, Groundout, Chapman gets out of the jam like he's done so often this season.

Familia on for the save and he still looks a bit shaky. He picked up a strikeout but then walked the next two men he faced. He bounced back, though, getting a fly out and a ground out to end the game at 5-3.

The win was just the second in 7 games for the Red Sox.

Roark Escapes, Gallo Homers, Chapman Saves
Closer Battle? Chapman, not Familia, Gets Call

The Boston media is making a lot of Chapman getting the call for the save right after Familia looked very inconsistent last time out. What they should be making noise about is the inept Boston offense. Gallo scored the game's only run...in the 1st inning.

He hit a home run into the bullpens. After that, nothing but zeroes, but not for good pitching.

Tanner Roark hasn't looked like the sinkerball control pitcher Boston was looking for, but, once again, he escaped any big damage...or any damage this time. He gave up 9 hits in just 6 innings but managed to prevent any runs from scoring. He struck out just one batter, but walked only one as well.

After that, the bullpen did its thing. Robles with 1 2/3 scoreless innings. Tazawa finished the 8th, then Chapman for the 9th. Boston scrapes by with the win, 1-0.

Sox Swept as Bats Stay Flat
                              O's, Yankees Close In

The series with the Rockies went horribly wrong as the offense just can not cope right now. With Chris Carter and Joey Gallo slowing down along with Jorge Mateo perhaps running into his first big league slump, the offense just have nothing going for it. When 42-year-old Ichiro is the hottest bat, this team is going to have issues. At least Ichiro is making progress towards his 3,000th hit.

In game 1, the Sale held the Rockies in check through seven innings, but the bullpen faltered as Herrera had a bad outing. That led to the Rockies taking a 4-1 lead and the "offense" couldn't do anything at all to cut into the gap.

Game 2 was more of the same. Matt Harvey kept the Sox in check through 6 innings, allowing just 3 runs (2 earned). The Rockies bullpen gave up nothing, literally. Not a hit, a walk, nothing. That left Taijuan Walker as a 4-3 loser.

Game 3, the bats actually showed up a bit. Well one of them. Gallo hit a 3-run HR in the 3rd inning, and that was the bulk of the attack. Reyes gave up those runs and one more to put the Sox tied at 4-4 though six innings.

Chapman gave up a run, but the Sox got it back to keep the score tied at 5-5 through eight innings. Urias came in as he was the freshest arm out there and give up a run in the top of the 9th that made the difference.

As far as the Red Sox are concerned. May can't end soon enough, and Schwarber and Sano can't come back soon enough. Fortunately, all of those things are expected to happen in a week or so, along with Finnegan returning.

Maybe the Sox will still be in first place by then. The O's and Yankees are both around 3 games back with both playing much better than Boston recently.

Since starting May 6-0, the Sox have gone 6-11.
