Really... it's not a bad idea. Introducing a Create-A-Stance feature would be pretty awesome. I mean... to batters, their stance is such an important part of their game, is it not? Otherwise, there wouldn't be any difference between players. So, if it's personal IRL, it'd be a great addition to make RttS more personal as well.

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
Statcast-inspired replays.
When a good/interesting play happens and generates a replay, have it put up StatCast-style data. We already have the hit velocities, give us launch angles and put the projected distance on the replay (that way it might also show up every time...*cough*).
On stolen bases - the speed of the runner, the time from delivery to tag at 2B, etc. Same for on infield hits.
On throws, especially throws that complete tough plays or nail runners at bases, show the release time, velocity and distance of the throw. Route efficiency, etc.
And of course, some commentary lines regarding the information. Something like "Let's check out this play on StatCast. First, notice how quickly he cuts this ball off, great path to the ball and gets himself in perfect position. And now see how quick the release is, and then the throw was over 100 MPH." *frame freezes as the StatCast data shows up [route efficiency, release time, throw velocity and distance]* "That's a serious cannon of an arm. And not only was it hard," *replay resumes* "look how accurate it was. Right on a dime for a quick sweep tag and that's how you cut down a runner at the bases, folks."
Have this be a replay option, so folks can choose. Something like:
Classic - the replay system now
Hybrid - StatCast for high-impact/high-leverage plays. Would more likely see them in key/clutch situations but more like the current system otherwise.
StatCast - Several more plays get the new replays. Almost anything interesting could get a StatCast replay - anything from a hard throw (say you maxed the meter and got off super hard throw) or a scalded liner, etc.
Of course, allow the X button to bypass it like with the replays/scenes now."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
Less glitches and bad animations. Take out the nonchalant backhand play.
A sense of urgency. Doesn’t matter the speed of the runner, the guys always react the same. And I have virtually no control.
An engine rebuild. This has to be done. The gameplay has more holes than all the delis in Switzerland. It’s suffering badly.
Nothing is organic, it’s all pre determined stuff with a fresh coat of high def paint to cover it. But the core gameplay hasn’t changed since before I started playing this series. The game is very stale.
More than just first base replay calls.
Oh yeah, open the dang timing windows back up. Closing the back end completely trashes my feel for the timing, because I’m conditioned to see a quick bat on a late swing, and it’s impossible to develop a good sense of timing because being early isn’t equality quick. So you get conditioned into never being early. Which is just terrible. This might be my single biggest complaint in this game.

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
Definitely the whole scouting/prospect thing. They made some strides, but I still have no connection to the prospects I draft. For one thing, they all look goofy, or have a weird/uncommon name. Another is that they are all so generic. I never see a Bryce Harper or Carlos Correa in draft classes. I think I 've maybe had one or two moments my entire time playing The Show where I'm like "Wow this guy will be a cornerstone. " I always just end up trading for a young stud.
And I know some people would say "Just edit the name and appearance yourself" But the problem with that is I would have to do that for all my picks, every draft. And then my team would be the only team with realistic prospects, because every other team would have goofy looking and goofy named players in 2025. I get they don't have infinite space, but something needs to be done to overhaul it.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
I actually don't have many complaints and wishes when it comes to The Show. It is one of my favorite sports games to play as is. If I had to say a few, I would say:
1. More Spring Training Ballparks: We've had the same 6 for years. Adding more into the game would not hurt.
2. Enhanced News Tab: They do have a news feature but it does feel a little lacking.
3. Custom Draft Classes: I know this one is harder than usual because of how big MLB Drafts are, but since the game only has 7 rounds I find this to be a reasonable wish.
4. Scouting: I like what they did this year but it still needs work. I feel like I'm just drafting players that I still do not know a lot about. There is no connection or "ooh that guy is really going to be a star" feeling involvedComment

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
1. Accurate/More Jerseys (Looking at you, DBacks Fans)
2. New Balance Apparel
3. More Stadium Cut Shots During Broadcast
4. Dugout Hoodies on Players (Especially in Postseason)
5. The ability to challenge more than just a play at first
6. Holiday specific Unis and Hats (This may be tough because MLB doesn't reveal these usually until after the seasons starts)
7. More realistic random players in MiLB. Seriously, some of these guys look like legit pedophiles wanted by the FBI.
8. Better commentary. If I hear Karros say "textbook sac situation here guys" while the pitcher is up to bat one more time, I'll lose it.
9. More realistic Fan apparel. They do a good job with this but why are fans wearing jerseys with "player" for a last name? Also, why are so many Blue Jays fans wearing Red? Why are so many Phillies fans wearing blue? I know they are alternate colors but that's not really how it is at games.
10. Something new with post game broadcast. It's been the same thing for a while now, would be cool to see it changed up.
11. Fix the "KC" logo on my Royals hats! It's too small, doesn't look realistic.
12. Add pitcher to the HR DerbyComment

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
1. Full 25-man A rosters.
2. Being able to straight out release a player without being forced to swap with another player(outside franchise mode)
3. 2-1 or more player trades, multi-team trades
4. Just have a game that's as glitch/bug-free as possible
5. Allow draft picks to be placed on teams immediately instead of waiting until the next season
6. Add more draft picks to coincide with the 25-man A rosters
7. More injured players(not enough in 16 even with slider maxed out)
8. Create-A-Team option or MLB expansion option
9. Better overall roster management options
10. Fix draft picks disappearing for a year or longer
11. Improve/fix player morale system
12. Rainouts or rain delays
13. Doubleheaders
14. Fix pitcher/player stamina issueLast edited by tonybologna; 06-17-2016, 08:32 PM.NCAA- GO VOLS

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
Is it possible to have The SHow's franchise play like OOTP's? Lol.
Imagine if we had OOTP's features on The Show. A man can only dream.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
I know this is extremely early to even think about MLB 17 The Show, but what features do you want to see in the game? This is my list. Some of them are what everyone else has been asking for.
-Rain-delays/Rainouts/Doubleheaders
-Face Scans with accurate characteristics (like NBA 2K)
-Improved morale system with more detail
-Sweat dripping off of players faces/Hair blowing in the wind
-Situational Commentary (Who is warming up in the pen, who should enter the game)
-A news feed with all relevant league breaking news/trades
-A countdown until clinching postseason birth (Would show in the standings statistics next to games back)
-Better audio sound effects for ball hitting the glove, bat hitting the ball

Can we have an indicator when someone is stealing a base?

Re: MLB 17 Feature Wishes?
How about some new classic stadiums, paticularly some of the 70's astro turfs, the Astrodome, Riverfront, Busch, and I think everyone would love to see Tiger Stadium, ( I know it wasn't AStro turf), or at least bring back the Dc'd stadiums, old Yankee, shea, etc. But I want both.Comment
