I've seen some awesome ideas in this thread. I'm sure I'm touching on some too but for me, here's what I'd like:
- Fans cheering for a player who was traded off of their team after a long time or had an fan impact. (Yes, I'm watching Quick Pitch and seeing Tulo back in Colorado.)
- Fan favorite. Players becoming fan favorites. It might be difficult to do in a video game of course. But, perhaps you have the opportunity to assign players to do interviews or sign autographs, etc to boost their fan appeal?
- Might already be in there but I hate the automatic over shifts. I understand the some automatic shifts but the over shifts are sometimes over kills. Yes, you can change it but still. For example, Francisco Cervelli shouldn't be over shifted to right field every at bat cause then he'll just bunt down third.
- International free agents instead of drafting international players
- More rounds when drafting.
- End the 23 year olds in the draft. Too many.
- Slot values
- Ability to trade more than three players in a deal.
- Take away the interest bar on trades. I feel as if it's too easy in a sense, especially if they allow you to deal more players.
- Harder to trade for superstar players. Like it was mentioned above, 10-5 rights. Perhaps, it's generated that players have no-trade lists to certain teams.
- The moral system was a great addition and will be tweaked with, I'm sure of that. I'd love to see more factors taken into account with this as well, based on performance.
- I would like to see performance in the minors boost some attributes for players. The progression attribute is a little off.
- It would be nice to see how much players progress in attributes shown like they were on previous versions. Unless, I don't understand how to do it this year. I shouldn't have to go to every player, check their player card on their attributes. I should be able to just scroll down player by player like it used to be.
- As much as I hate it, maybe teams do decide on the innings limit for younger pitchers. That would be tough to regulate though.
- I saw the idea of having a spot start for a young prospect. I like that idea. Perhaps the team burned through their bullpen even the previous day and need to call someone up to make a spot start.
- More records. Baseball is a huge game of stats and records. We've had the same records for many versions of the game. I'd love to see more records shown that will get acknowledgement if broken.
- Team records would be cool too. Especially with how deep the franchise can go. It would be nice to see players becoming hit leaders for certain franchise, etc.
- Ways to break up a streak or ways to keep a streak. Odd I know but could be cool, IE; a player is doing poorly for a while, they stop wearing batting gloves, maybe they try a different bat, shave their beard, etc. Announcers could mention it too.
- Announcing. I love Matt V but that's it. If possible, could you get some other MLB Network guys to announce. I'd love to hear John Smoltz, Pedro Martinez etc. Maybe Chris Rose or Greg Amsinger doing a random game. Kevin Millar talking about shower bods. Stuff like that would be cool to have in the games.
- Going along with that, if possible to partner with MLB Network. There could be a highlight recap of games each day. Something like Quick Pitch. Or notifications about games from the day. I know the ticker on the bottom. But, if there is something crazy, I'd like to be more aware of it.
- Stat-Cast would be pretty cool to have in since it's sort of over taken everything.
- Being able to bring in a 5th infielder should be an option.
- Players of the Week awards
- Players of the Month awards
Those could have an impact on moral. Same for the minors too
Single A: I understand that the ability to have the teams is probably an issue. That's cool but maybe to expand the roster to having 25 players. Just 15 extra spots would be great to have, especially if the draft gets expanded.
I'm sure I'll think of more as I start playing but that's what I thought of off the top of my head.
