Re: How to Set Up 30 Team Control

I think I know what it is. The "Injuries" part is on a different screen for your profile. Instead of doing the "Injury Management", you have to turn the "Injuries" to manual.

The actual "Injuries" option is in your game options screen.... not the mode specific screen, but the game options screen, where you set your batting difficulty and all of that. If you go to that screen, press R1 until you get to the last screen (You should go through the batting difficulty, pitching difficulty screens, etc.). In the last screen there should be an option that says "Injuries". Change that one.

If it's not on that screen, press R2 to go to the "Advanced" screen. It should be there.

      Yep....bet this is it.
I didn't catch the "mode" part of his posts.

That's got to be it. I didn't realize there was a mode aspect to it. I didn't even see that there was the advanced settings in the general section. Looked through the basic settings and didn't see anything about injuries (and saw the injury slider there and ignorantly assumed that's how the game handled it now) and went straight to mode-specific because of the injury management.

Wow, I made that 100x harder than it needed to be. Jr, Knight, & UT, thanks for all the help. I knew there was something I wasn't seeing. Sorry for all the confusion.

Definitely feel like an idiot, but at least I'll be able to play my franchise now lol. Booting up the PS4 now.

No problem man. I went through the same thing. The only way I knew what the problem was because I saw you said "Injury Management" and it dawned on me.

          Glad we could help.

How easy to hard is this to manage? Never done it before but I am curious to know if it is a too much of time sink.

It's easy to set up. From there, it depends on how much you want to control.

As an example, I handle all trades and free agency signings for the whole league. The trade deadline takes me a few hours and the offseason takes about 8-10 hours to do everything. I don't worry about lineups, I let the CPU draft for the teams I'm not controlling, and I'll check on organizational moves (call ups/send downs) every month or so.

I don't mind the extra time that all of this takes because it gets me more into the whole league, rather than just my team.

Re: How to Set Up 30 Team Control

Okay so I like controlling all 30 teams so that the CPU doesn't make any stupid lineup decisions and doesn't play guys like Ortiz at 1B instead of DH. But the problem I'm running into is player stamina. When a player is tired and needs a day off, if my lineup control for the 29 CPU teams is set to manual, that means the CPU won't give that player the day off, correct? Or do tired players get days off automatically as long as you sim the game, even if your lineup settings are set to manual?

No. The CPU will adjust lineups in sims. The only way to completely control lineups is to do a StatCast sim for every game.

So you mean the CPU will still rest tired players even if I do 30 team control and have lineups/rotations set to "manual"?

They get the same "Player X needs a break" etc. messages that you do, yes.

Yes. Along with that, the CPU will change the lineups going into the game usually no matter what. So even if everyone is healthy, the lineup that is played in the sim probably won't be the same as what is shown on the lineups screen in the franchise menu.

Check the box scores after simmed games to double check.

Oh cool, this makes things even easier then. I was afraid that I'd have to manually check each team's lineups on a daily basis to make sure that tired players are resting, but if the CPU will do it by itself then that's obviously a non-issue. Thanks.

                            Hello,

I want to use 30 team control for a FANTASY DRAFT. I've set the other teams to AUTO, including auto-draft, but it still wants me to draft their original teams. How do I get around this?

                            Thanks -

Make sure you have the profile for those teams assigned to them.
                              USER SETTINGS-TEAM ASSOCIATION.
Also make sure that you actually have that profile with drafting to AUTO.
....I haven't done a draft in a while...but can you also just go to the team you want to draft for....highlight them and hit X and it will auto-draft up until then?
                              (not sure on that part)
