You don't need to close the whole app. It's always worked just by exiting game and going back in. Atleast for me.

Here's the settings, they really only list the ones you already mentioned except where they specifically say it relates to gaming. My suggestion is input everything as they recommend but for SDR gaming, put brightness somewhere in the 10-20 range and for HDR I think the TV automatically sets it to max anyway.

Interesting read and the main reason why I'm still saving up for a 65" OLED this year.

Really? Well I've pretty much learned to not change anything anymore. I hope they fix this asap in the next patch as I love to fool with the camera angles and they are sort of off limits to me right now as I don't want to spend the time to exit and restart.

Thank you, but I meant to say I have a Samsung, lol. The Sony's are great also!

Sharpness is at 0 and it doesn't make anything blurry or out of focus. Here's another site (Neogaf) that has the same setting of 0 for sharpness for gaming on the KS8000...

I'm considering returning my Sony and getting the 55" Samsung KS8000. On sale at Best Buy for $999. Money from the return plus original PS4 trade-in credit and reward certificates can make this super cheap.

Guys with Hisense 55H8C, how do you get HDR to unlock on a regular PS4? Do I need to use HDMI input 3 or 4? Thanks for my ignorance.

It depends on the TV. On my Samsung, it was 0. On my Sony, the 50 (halfway) means no sharpness. Anything more is adding artificial sharpening, and anything less it softens it.

The Sony is an awesome TV but it doesn't seem to be fitting what you are wanting as you've not been happy since you bought it man, think in you're playing environment you'd benefit from the samsung.

If you have the money, better do it while you can. I'm sure you wouldn't regret it because it's obviously the superior tv just costs more.

I do hate you couldn't get yours to work as mine is pure beauty as HDR should be, not sure why yours isn't working.
