I feel really dumb now. Had no idea on my LG that there was a whole different set of picture settings that open up when you're in HDR mode. Finally found that last night. The Show looks even better for me now.

I'm considering returning my Sony and getting the 55" Samsung KS8000. On sale at Best Buy for $999. Money from the return plus original PS4 trade-in credit and reward certificates can make this super cheap.

Re: MLB The Show 17 Supports 4K & HDR on PS4 Pro
I do not know much about the 800D itself but based on the model number that is there "entry level base TV" as to where the Samsung 8000 is not a base model its a higher level TV based on the model number so you really cant compare the two.
If you would compare Sony 900E or 930E to the Samsung 8000 series the Sony winds hands down no question. At my local best buy here they have them on display next to each other. I have the 930 E its an amazing TV my brother has the 900E and to be honest his picture pretty much looks identical to mine and I paid a few more dollars for mine.
Point is I was a hard core Samsung guy for years man, hell I still have two Samsung plasma in my house as we speak now and I still love them, however just keep an open mind. If you are local its the Macedonia Best Buy and Anthony is good guy to speak to in that department really knows his stuff and can explain every spec on both tv to you.
hope this helps

That's great to hear JayD, yeah those settings are a lot of work and Artman helped a lot with those too so I can't take full credit. He and I got our Samsungs about the same time if I recall correctly.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Yeah if you have room for bigger, I wouldn't get a 43" personally. Unfortunately the biggest my bedroom could accommodate is a 43" and I've been blown away by this TV, especially for the price point. It's outstanding.Comment

43" would be perfect for our bedroom. We have a 32" in there now and it's too small. I suggested moving my old Samsung 67" there but my wife was like "hell no" (will smith voice) so yeah, now it sits unused in a spare bedroom, LOLStreaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: MLB The Show 17 Supports 4K & HDR on PS4 Pro
So I got my PS4 Pro and Samsung 65KS8500 set up...using ODOGG'S AND ARTMANS settings...game looks amazing and runs very smooth...however I do have one concern...heard a lot of people talk about how when they change settings in game when they exit out and go back to gameplay there screen colors are all messed up and they have to restart. This is not the case for me, I can change between 4k, Enhanced and HFR and my picture colors stay the same. It actually makes me wonder if maybe I missed a step or have something set up wrong. Any advice or opinions are appreciated.Comment

I'm starting to think people with this issue are on OG PS4. I don't have the issue with a pro and the same tv as you.Comment

I have the PS4 pro and the same tv but when I pause and then go back into the game the game gets brighter.. doesn't happen to you? Or do you try not to pause during a game?Comment
