I noticed the smoothness right away which is a game changer. Hitting in high frame rate mode is so much easier. I've always hit well, but tracking the ball is so much easier now. Oddly enough I'm having a more difficult time with metered pitching. I'm always just a little early or a little late, but I'll adjust eventually.

I briefly tried 4k and enhanced visual modes, but high frame rate is where it's at. The visuals didn't look much different to me between the three to be honest. High frame rate mode with hdr of course and I'm not looking back.

Sony TVs have such a 'God Tier' scaler, that 1080p content looks nice and crisp on their 4K sets. I have found that I will be taking advantage of performance modes more if/when I get a Pro (Nioh 1080p/60), this game, etc., since the base PS4 looks amazing on my current Sony 4K (non-HDR) set.

I will also be upgrading the TV to the new x900f for HDR when it finally comes to retail this year. I almost jumped on the 900e since it is a phenomenal set, but then seen the CES reports on the 900f upgrades to it, so I will just wait a little longer for reviews, etc..

The 900e is a great tv, when is the 900f coming out?

The funny thing is, with TVs, they never seem to give hard dates. If the 900e is anything to go by, the first sets were available to retail on February 10th according to Amazon. So I would guess around the same time. TV makers love to hit income tax season in the States for their new sets, and seem to release just after the "Super Bowl" sales for their remaining year prior models.

Here is the link to the new model:

        https://www.sony.com/electronics/tel...r-x900f-series

Seems they added Hybrid Log-Gamma and Dolby Vision to the HDR features, added the X1 Extreme processor, and also boosted the dynamic contrast a little. Tweaked the motion flow and other elements as well.

I've been playing on 4k mode without HDR this whole year, and haven't had any problems. But i just tried HDR mode, and it looks wayyyyy better, but the input lag is so much worse.

          Anything i can do?

My LG has an HDR Game Mode setting in the picture settings, maybe yours has something similar?

For my KS8000 peeps. I know you shouldn't take someone else's settings and apply them to yours, but I got these off some forum and these settings really made the colors look better to me. The color space settings specifically is what made the difference. Not as colorful, but feels more realistic. I always thought skin tones looked a little off on just my regular settings, and these made things look much much better.

Thought I'd share for anyone that likes to tinker with their settings to get the most out of the show as possible.

Looking to replace my current TV and am assuming that the successor of the KS8000 is the MU8000 model. Does anyone have and opinions on the MU8000. Looking to stay in the 40 inch ballpark range and looking to get a TV that is great for gaming (low input lag) as well as great to take advantage of HDR.

I may plug those into my KS8000 to see what it looks like. Only thing I do when playing The Show in HDR is switch Color Space to Native.

There has been nothing yet on the graphics output...I hope they figured out the frame rate issues....4K/ 60 FPS would be amazing!
