I was just referring to the HDR implementation. I am confused why this game seems to be a case by case basis where others weren't when it comes to HDR

I have a KS8000 but can't get HDR to unlock in game. My tv isn't hooked up to the Internet because I only use it to game. Might I need to get an update for it to work? I've tried starting the game up in in game mode, hdr mode, sports mode, and no mode but it doesn't unlock it.

Dynamic contrast is artificial processing and it doesn't make things look better. Well, maybe to you it does but no professional calibrators ever uses it. To me HDR looks fine just how I have it. There are many who like watching their content in torch mode (Dynamic mode). That doesn't mean it's a natural looking picture or better. Some people just like everything extra saturated and they see a more colorful picture and assume it's better.

I personally don't use dynamic contrast, but if it looks better to you that way that's your choice. You'll also never catch knowledgeable people on AVSforums recommending dynamic contrast either. Also, I wouldn't worry about how the MLB logo looks. I'm more concerned with everything else on the screen.

People on AVS watch awful movies strictly because they are in HDR. This is a video game, no one cares what the team's 'artistic vision' was for the game. This game flat out looks significantly better with dynamic contrast on. Obviously that is subjective but no one should be discouraged from using it just because AVS says so.

KS8000 people, I think i know what the issue is.

How do you unlock the HDMI Black level in game mode? THIS may be the key as to why everything is so dark and some of us have to use Dynamic Contrast at medium or high. It can not be changed in game mode for me and actually i cant unlock it when I am in regular normal mode or whatever you call it.

My question is, can you guys notice a difference in graphics between 4K and enhanced? If so, where do you notice?
I personally didn't notice much of an upgrade in 4K vs the EV mode.

I notice the difference between the two. 4k looks sharper and better, but the framerate drops annoy me. Once I tried enhanced and the framerate was so smooth I couldn't go back lol. Enhanced still looks very good to me as well, but of course 4k looks the best. I left it on enhanced. Fast framerate felt very similar to enhanced but many jaggies and no where near as pretty. I don't understand why San Diego studios didn't just give us enhanced with checkerboard 4k..

There was a firmware update a few months ago to enable HDR for game mode. I'm almost certain since you haven't been connected to the internet that you are on the stock firmware that came with the t.v and that does not enable HDR while in game mode. Time to hook that bad boy up and get some updates!

Yeah I know but it still doesn't look as good as the Show but part of that is also not 2K's fault, any game outdoors is going to show off lighting much better than an indoor game that has no sun to cast shadows that can be dramatic.
