I think a lot of guys have been used to seeing overly saturated and bright pictures that their eyes haven't adjusted to a nice natural picture yet..

What are you picture settings?

There are many others saying the need dynamic contrast on with the KS8000 on here. I would love some help though fixing it but I don't know whats up.

Settings are. Gamemode. HDR ON in game. HDR coming through HDMI 1 on. BAcklight 20. Brightness 45. Contrast 100. Sharpness 0. Color 50.
Tint. 50/50. Smart LED High. Color Warm 1. Dynamic Contrast high(would like off) Gamma 0. Color Space Auto. HDR on The show 100%. PS4 setting all on auto as far as RGB and output.

Bro, turn down your color. Looks like a cartoon.

Looks dim as well. Where's your brightness?

EDIT: Somehow I looked at the pictures without looking at the TV settings. Give Chad B. a call, pronto.

Okay, that looks better... in comparison.

Still looks way off. Why is your brightness on zero?

For KS8000 users, Gave this a shot and I think it looks great. It's more of a simpler setting but picture still looks great. I have my HDR all the way up in game but I may go lower or back to default. Also, be sure to not go into the settings menu while in game. That seems to screw everything up.
Im telling you guys, its this simple to get a great looking hdr game. Im also toying around with the hdr intensity. I started at default and now im going to test it at 25 and go from there. The hdr intensity slider is on a scale of 0 to 100 FYI.

PS: here's another video saying the same thing as the original video I posted.

Because both my backlight and HDR Intensity setting in game is set to 100.

Samsung KS8000 owners. If you don't want to use dynamic contrast, I recommend putting color to 60 and raising gamma to 1. Here are my settings

                      Backlight 20
                      Brightness 45
                      Contrast 100
                      Color 60
                      Sharpness 0
                      Color Space Auto
                      Dynamic Contrast Off
                      Gamma 1
                      Smart LES High
                      Black Level (grayed out)
                      Color Tone Warm 2

Maybe I missed a backlog of posts. Is there a reason you are doing that? I might have missed that perhaps you were testing something?

I'm just going to be honest: with Samsung, the Color setting shouldn't ever really change with direct source material. Cable television may be an exception because all of the compression artifacts, but games and movies should be let be.

Also, if you tweak White Balance settings, try and do it without touching the Green offset & gain knobs, unless you absolutely have to.

I have a Samsung JS9500 (2015 model, but supports HDR). Initially I felt the colors were a little with HDR on but as soon as I changed the color tone to Warm it looks much more natural now. One thing I have noticed is that I see lines in the sky unless the sky is black. Has anyone else noticed this or have this problem? If so, what have y'all done to fix it? Does not happen when I turn HDR off in game.

I want to just make sure with what I am reading... if I buy a 4K with the OG PS4 I will at least get enhanced visual options? On kind of a tight budget and would rather put it towards the TV rather a PS4. Likely next console I'll buy will be the 5.

I've noticed the lines in the sky as well and so did another poster or two on here. Color banding I believe it's called and I hope they can fix it.
