No, there is no 4K / HDR calibration tools on that disc. In fact I don't think there is any disc anywhere period for those two things. Someone please correct me if I am wrong though.

Is there a reason to keep the disc after calibration? Or would it just be a one time setup for this tv?

      EIGHTY-EIGHT DOLLARS???

I got mine for like $15 way back when. Save your cash and let me just ship you mine.

I used to use it to check out some of the demo material, but it's not the same kind as in-store where they highlight the best films and show before/after on DVD and Blu-ray. It's more scenery demos. Not as beautiful as a Disney WOW 4K disc would be, though.

Only reason I ever use it now (outside of re-calibration) is for the pixel flipper.

As for HDR calibration, there is no HDR standard for studios who grade their films, so there is no real "basis" to calibrate from. I'm sure you can get generally more accurate, but it seems that kind of thing would be tough to deal with as a "set it and forget it" kind of thing.

But HDR is either turned on or off so I don't think there's any calibrating it.

I think we are thinking like that because of the damned slider that is in MLB The Show 17 LOL.

Yeah not sure what is up with the inflated prices. That's why I decided to buy a used copy from amazon. Calibrate it and then send it back and get refund. No way it should be $90.

Yea I remember paying $25 for mine and that was over 5 years ago. They know people want it so they're over charging for it.

I bought mine for around $14 or so back in the day. $88 damn, people are charging that insane price so people must be buying em.

Just got my KS8000 and, possibly stupid question, but does it matter which HDMI port I use on the One Connect box?

Nope. Just make sure you turn hdr on for that port in setup.

Thanks that's exactly what I did but figured I'd double check. This TV is awesome!

Does anyone have a problem with the game seemingly randomly getting dim at times? I have the Samsung 8500. Eco settings are off. I can't tell if it's my TV, or a bug, or simulating cloud cover or something.

Do you have HDR+ turned on in the tv settings under special viewing mode? If so turn that off and put it in game mode and that should fix it. It fixed mine

I input the settings you're using, with HDR at 30.... Stunning results. I'm going to continue messing around with the HDR slider between 25-40 till I find the "perfect" notch but I'm super happy this TV plays The Show in HDR so well.

I don't have HDR+ on but I'm in movie mode. I'll try game mode - thanks!

Glad you enjoying them, if you find a perfect spot lemme know, I feel we could deff improve a little but I'm happy with what I got.

Question for others: how red is the Redsox red jersey? What I mean: is it a brighter red or a darker red on your screen? That's the only thing I cannot tel if it's correct but all my reds look great it might just be the way their jersey is and I'm not realizing it.
