It's new and hasn't been reviewed by them yet. rting.com says they won't have a review until July '17???

Sweet man! Thanks you've been very helpful with my questions. Can't wait to get off work and fire up enhanced visuals with 75 HDR. Is it true to set it then restart the game? I've heard people having issues setting and not restarting

Set it in the main menu and then start your game. The issue arises when making changes during a game.

Ahh thank you! So just a question is 4K just unplayable due to stuttering or what?

            4K is pretty choppy.

My prediction is that it will be patched a time or two and be smooth as anything but right now I think 99% of us here are using the enhanced visuals mode.

It's "playable" I guess, but sub par experience. Once you try enhanced visuals you will never look back. It's basically as smooth as HFR (occasional dips) but no jaggies. I think it's the way to go if you have a Pro and 4k TV. The HDR slider should be set at approximately to what nit level your TV can handle (best way is to use HDR white clipping test pattern but they are hard to find). The max setting is for 1,000 nits and .05 black levels (official HDR certified). If your TV is HDR "capable" but not really great at it, then start at the half way mark and work your way down with the slider.

Keep note that adjusting settings within a game (even Sliders), blows out and washed out the graphics. You have to exit the game and start a new one. Personally I exit out of the game completely and close application.

Just for anyone who is interested - the HDR issue is not yet fixed with the patch that dropped today (4/11). If you change the setting at all it still messes up the game and you have to restart it.

Help out an HDR noob here:

I've got the LG U6150 which, admittedly, is not top of the line when it comes to HDR. The Show is the first HDR compatible game I have and when I first started playing in HDR, it looked great. I came to realize it defaulted to the HDR Bright mode on my TV. There was a firmware update to add an HDR Game mode, which I downloaded last night. The HDR Game mode is dull and dingy, almost like there's a gray filter added. It looks nothing like the other HDR modes and even SDR Game mode looks better.

I'd prefer to use one of the Game modes to cut down on input lag, but at this point I'd go SDR over HDR. Is it possible LG has a bug in the TV firmware to make the HDR Game mode look so lifeless?

Second screen brightened everything up a lot (too much).

Oh no.. I wish Russell or anyone from SDS would comment on this issue for us. I can't stand exiting my season to bring back HDR after the menu blows out the lighting.

Re: MLB The Show 17 Supports 4K & HDR on PS4 Pro

I wanted to see what MLB 17 the show would look like on my asus m279h so I brought it back into my office and plugged my ps4 pro into it and I must say that playing in High Frame rate mode was awesome. The monitor is a 27 inch 1080p monitor and the game played great. Having nearly 0 input lag is what I missed the most about using a gaming monitor as opposed to a tv. The game looked and played flawlessly.

The one thing that I hated when gaming on my x800d TV in HDR was the way the colors would look in screenshots or when you stream or post a video to Youtube.

I think I am going to roll with my asus monitor once again. Me and my old trusty are back together again (for now...atleast until Asus drops it's 4k/HDR monitor )
