Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread
Well I got a SP for the Twins down in AA and of course like everyone I get asked to be a reliever, smile and say yep want to help the team, do a few games as a Closer and then get told I go back but now I am middle reliever all the time.
Not impressed with this at all. Will keep going but it looks like I may have to start over, I hope they patch this because it aint coolComment

What are the exact sliders that you're using for this RTTS? That seems very challenging and yet awfully realistic! I love seeing that.
Finished second year in the bigs as a full-time starter. Started the season on the Reds, got traded to the Marlins for one start, then traded to the Astros where I finished out the season. Here is my final stat line and ratings.

This is not true. I was a 90 overall and lost my number twice to players that were not as good as me.Comment

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread
I just started a starting pitcher a few days ago and got drafted by the Marlins. I dominated the AA and AAA, then got called up mid/late season to the show as an 18-year-old. MLB was a big change though, got hit on pretty good. I went 5-2 with a 3.14 ERA. Marlins offered me a AAA rotation contract, which I signed because I'm young, whatever it's realistic. I then get put in the MLB Bullpen at the start of the season and I'm now stuck as a late reliever/set up guy. Pretty annoying to be honest. Pitch only 1-2 innings and get pulled. Hopefully, I get put back in the rotation.Comment

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread
Made a first baseman, ended up getting drafted 7th overall to the Rockies. I had never been drafted that high before, and when I looked at their org roster I noticed that it was literally me and Mark Reynolds. The roster I had was a version of OSFM so they had to have just released all their 1B besides Mark Reynolds.
Anyway, I honestly think I will get called up super early as an 18-year old phenom. Reynolds has regressde a lot and we both are in the mid 60s for OVR. 22 games into the season I am hitting .358 with 2 HR & 14 RBI I am progressing fast and he is regressing fast. I would love to get to Colorado by the end of 2017.Comment

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread
BOOM1 59 games into the MLB season, my 18 year old 1st baseman has replaced Mark Reynolds as the Rockies starting 1st baseman.
No rookies besides maybe Bellinger (high HR total but that's it)in the NL have stood out so I have a good shot at winning rookie of the year with a little over 100 games to play. Gonna need to improve my power a lot though, I'm gunning for 15+ HR 50+ RBI with high avg.Comment

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread
As a 18-year old starting 1st baseman, I hit .279 in 373 ABs (104 hits) in 101 games.I hit 16 homers, drove in 51 RBIs, scored 51 runs, hit 21 doubles, a triple, had a OBP of .337 (32 BB), and a .469 SLG which gave me a .806 OPS. I was worth 1.6 WAR.
I was re-signed to a 4 year, 6 million deal which will give me two arb years before I hit free agency.
So I'm about to start my first full year in the MLB as a 19-year old with brand new contract and almost a years worth of experience alreadyfeels good
in 2018 I'm gonna try to hit 20 HRs, 75 RBIs, and hit closer to .300, preferably over .290Comment

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread
Started another new player. Center Fielder who ended up getting taken by the Yankees in the second round. I was driving the struggle bus to start the year off, I was hitting like .260 to .280 in AA, which is awful for me because I have always mashed around .350+ easily.
I was trying out David Freese's stance and my god, I used to like it but this year it is 100% garbage for me.
Everything was hit directly at an infielder or outfielder no matter how hard, so I went to my bread and butter. Mike Trout. THE GOAT STANCE.
Through 30 games in AA my stats are finally looking better, the balls that were warning track power with Freese's stance are actually getting out now with the change in stance.
G: 30

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread
Just finished 2018.
As a 19 year old, my 1B played in 141 games, and hit .318 (3rd) with 33 home runs (12th), 88 RBIs (T-20th) and 80 runs (T-30th) scored. I also had 4 SBs which I had never attempted to steal a base in my first year lol. I had a .318/.391/.591 slash line, and I led the league in slugging and OPS (.591/.982). I also had 29 doubles and 3 triples, which all in total, was good a 5.2 WAR (19th). I also won the Hank Aaron Award.
I also made the all star team which is crazy considering my guy in only 19. We barely missed the playoffs after having a bad 2017 so I'm looking to make the playoffs in 2019, although mainly looking for the wild card as the Dodgers are incredible, as they've picked up Michael Brantley to hit leadoff and play outfield with Puig and Pederson. They also took CarGo from us to be their 4th OF lol. My guy has established himself as the cleanup hitter for 2019 and beyond, as we have an okay lineup with Dahl-Forrest Wall-Aranado-Me-Story-Jordan Patterson-Desmond-Wolters.
Blackmon, LeMahieu, GarGo have all left, with Blackmon going to the Dodgers (ugh), LeMahieu and CarGo formed a super team in Detroit with Lorenzo Cain, aling with Cabrera/Upton/Castellanos/Iglesias, they're a damn good team.Comment

Re: Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread
Well this is a first. Year 2 on my Angels SS, 43 games into the season I broke my shin while stealing and sliding into 2nd base and went on the 60 day DL. I was leading the AL in batting average and 2nd in HR. I always keep 2 save files on hand but I decided to go with it because its a way I can skip a considerable amount of games without actually simming games, consdering I've played every at bat in my career so far. So I was placed on the 60 day DL, then another 10 for precaution. It took me a bit past the trade deadline (which I always sim past multiple times for good results), so now here is my Angels lineup in season 2 heading towards the playoffs, after 2 seasons of trades and 1 offseason

2. DH Joc Pederson 81 ovr
