Does anyone know if you can get the jacket off the pitchers when they are on the bases? It seems most pitchers don't even wear jackets these days but the game has them wearing jackets in the middle of summer. Arietta would never wear a jacket.

With The Show constantly having games played in temps 30 degrees lower than they would be in real life, the jackets make sense. It's July in Atlanta and my game was 68 degrees with 8 mph winds. That'd be a bit chilly.

Has anybody ever gotten the "fair or foul" animation on a potential HR ball and actually had it be a fair ball? I swear I've gotten it 100 times between 16 and 17 and it's foul 100% of the time. I was gonna go into the suggestions/wish list thread and complain about it but I wanted to make sure I wasn't just extremely unlucky first.

I have too. It's rare but it does happen.

Apologies if this has been asked already but do players develop while they're on the bench? I have two A potential prospects one is a CF and the other 3B. I have Mike Trout and Jose Ramirez playing in those positions. I'd like to start development of these prospects as they are in the mid to upper 70s but afraid to stifle their progress. What should I do?

Having them on the bench is not the worst place in the world for them. I found that performance can effect progression, but the higher the league the more potential performance gains they can have. If they are on the bench but performing well, they can still benefit from the boost of being in the MLB.

Do they have any secondary positions? You might want to consider having them play more often at another position as well. Still, I've had guys on my bench progress very well.

Really been struggling with hitting but I fired all my coaches except Maddon and got 7 runs after getting one or two in previous games. Only one game is a small sample size but I was surprised at the negative numbers associated with all the coaches, especially the pitching coach but I think hitting were all negative too.
I'm playing in Franchise and don't have budget turned on but just curious if other people have found any improvement with changing coaches.

I was going to try and platoon/sub them in whenever my starters got tired. Luckily both prospects play multiple positions so they should get alot of at bats and play time. Thanks for the reply much appreciated.

Okay, how in heaven's name do you steal?

This used to work: hold onto L2, and release when you want to go. The in-game instructions still even say that.

Why are my players waiting till like the ball releases to take off? I'm not talking about players with like a 0 steal rating either.

Assuming you have a guy on 1st you hold the circle button and just tap L2. This queues the runner to take off when the ball is thrown otherwise if you hold L2 you immediately make the runner take off from first.

Circle? That's mapped to a swing type, though. I'm assuming if you're on second base then you'd say to hold Triangle, which would be for bunting. I don't really see how that works...

Are you on a different swinging and baserunning system than I'm on?

There's a delay so you almost have to release L2 a second before you really want to take off. The downside is if you don't time it perfectly you'll end up taking off too early and getting picked off. I've been using the hold L2 method for awhile and even with guys who have 95+ speed I can still be thrown out due to the delay in them taking off. Someone mentioned pressing L2 and then holding L1 and it helps with the release but the runner won't ever go back to the bag if they throw over so it's extremely risky.

Oh gosh, that's so very strange. This didn't use to happen, at least not in recent memory. I still have some of the old versions. I have to check this out.

Seems like as big of a gameplay issue as the blocked balls.
