I've somehow managed to throw 2 no no's, but never was able to complete a perfect game. Came close to one with Carlos Martinez last year in DD, but gave up a hit with 1 out in the 9th. Most frustrating feeling in the world.

Re: What is your "White Whale" in the Show?
My only perfect game. MLB The Show 13. Joe Kelly vs Milwaukee. Logan Morrison had a 4-HR game for me in MLB 14. I cannot seem to get a player to hit for the cycle though.
EDIT: I posted this yesterday and today I almost tossed my second perfect game, this time with Tony Cingrani. He lost it on a flair to short CF with 2 outs and an 0-2 count in the top of the 9th. I knew I should have thrown a change up instead of trying to bury a slider.

Re: What is your "White Whale" in the Show?
What I have not accomplished that I want:
1) Win World Series.
2) Throw a No Hitter
3) Throw Perfect Game
I've hit for the cycle a few times, won the division, had 20 game winning pitcher, and things of the sorts, but my most sought after goal is to win the Fall Classic.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: What is your "White Whale" in the Show?
My "White Whale" is finishing a fantasy draft season, without starting a new fantasy draft season in the middle of the first one.
The real season affects my video game season. Players emerge, go on slumps, and get injured-- and this makes me want to draft new and different players.
I'm able to finish "All-Time" leagues though. It's so enjoyable playing out a whole season, then looking through all the stats at the end of the season, knowing that your playing determined all those stats (yeah, even when I hit .241 with Buster Posey)Comment

Re: What is your "White Whale" in the Show?
Lol reminds me of back in MLB 09 when I would straight up cheat with force trades to get super teams yet I still batted .220 with Dustin Pedroia. The man was on the freaking cover! Ah, good times.Comment

Re: What is your "White Whale" in the Show?
I have now pitched three perfect games. One in RTTS (in AA), one with CC Sabathia, and one with Masahiro Tanaka. I have had a few no hitters too in the past few years. I tried for 5 years (08-12) before I got either. I finally got the platinum last year for the first time (that one had evaded me for awhile as well). I still want to improve my patience in general, and get more walks. I would love to hit for the cycle, or be a closing pitcher in RTTS and break Rivera's record for saves.Last edited by garyjr33; 03-01-2016, 10:41 PM.NHL: Rangers

Here are the Sabathia stats. The Tanaka one I have a lot more strikeouts but I only have a large video of that one.

Re: What is your "White Whale" in the Show?
A perfect game is the main thing I still want to accomplish. I finally threw a no hitter last year with Kevin Gausman but I walked a guy late in game to lose my perfect game.
Does anyone else mute the TV when they realize they got a no hitter going? If I notice I have going after about three or four innings, I will mute the TV so I don't jinxed by the announcers. LOL.Comment

Re: What is your "White Whale" in the Show?
That's the beauty of Quick Counts. My white whale would be joining an online league that actually finishes the season. I keep on telling people that it's tough to find 29 strangers who have the patience to sit through 82 games, or how ever long the season is online. You got to make it a short season if you want people to actually finish it.Would the lady who left her nine kids at Wrigley Field please pick them up immediately? They are beating the Cubs 4-0 in the 7th inning!Comment

Re: What is your "White Whale" in the Show?
Can't say I've played the series enough to really have one. If I chose it would be to finally put some time into the game and do season or franchise. I'm hoping that will happen with 16.
Anyways threw a no hitter with Kershaw tonight. Was only on Veteran +++ against the Mets. AI gave up a stupid error on a bouncing ground ball at second to rob me of a perfect.Comment

Great thread, OP!!
Mine is definitely the No-Hitter.
Haven't been able to take one past 8 yet. But there's this year!Comment
