Haven't played a full Franchise and RTTS season yet.

I also haven't won a Gold Glove in Franchise no matter how good my defense was.

Almost had a triple play yesterday. The first baseman dropped the ball.

Re: What is your "White Whale" in the Show?

        Finishing a RTTS career.

In fact, it's kind of a white whale for me for sports games in general. I've never finished a career in NBA2K either, or Madden (came close back when it was still called Superstar mode, with a free safety, I think I got through like 7 seasons).

The only exception is the Road to Glory mode back when NCAA Football was a thing, but that's different because it's only 4 seasons. I finished plenty of those.

Currently I'm through 9 years of a career with my centerfielder, playing every single game. Really 8 full years. The first year I was called up in August I think, had . Started it on MLB 14, carried it over to MLB 15, and now will carry it over to MLB 16. Probably won't be able to finish it on 16 unless I cut it unrealistically short.

My goal is to break the HR record. That's when I'll retire. I'm currently at 316 homers in 9 seasons (35 a year), but considering my first season was only 2 months long and I only hit 7 homers... In my 8 full seasons I have 309 homers (38.625 per season). At that rate, it will take me until my 21st season, but I think I can knock out a few 45+ or 50+ seasons to shorten that up a little bit. I just had my career high 52 homers in Year 9. I've had 4 other seasons between 40 and 43 homers as well. So my pace could pick up. Ideally I'd like to not have to play 20 seasons before I retire. Maybe I can get it done in 17 or 18.

Play a whole season with an RTTS position player and have more walks than strikeouts. I think my current season just moved into August and I think I have 40 walks to 35 strikeouts.

That is still close enough that it could go either way.

This was a major goal of mine and I finally did it in Year 9 of my career. 108 walks to 87 K's. The year before that I came devastatingly close, 77 walks to 81 K's.

Now I'd like to try and balance out my career walks to K's and tip that in my favor as well. It will be difficult, I struck out a TON early on in my career. 5 straight seasons of 100+. My career ratio is 477 walks to 896 K's. It's gonna take some serious discipline to even that out lol.

Man all of this talk on this and other threads about not being able complete a full season. Should I be bragging about my 6 complete seasons?

            09: 1 season
            12: 2 seasons
            14: 1.5 seasons
            15: (carry over) 1.5 seasons

            All innings no quick counts

Or should I just be sad, like I was when I looked back on all of my World of Warcraft achievements (well before my Show days)? I'm going to say a little of both.

jeez and that's not even counting the "for fun" franchises and RttS dabbling. Honestly though this is where 95% of my time with the show went.

To be fair, I play the Show year round now and I don't play any other sports game anymore.

i completely understand this... especially with two strikes, or runners in scoring position, or being behind in the score... the pressure builds and i cant seem to lay off anything at all. maybe one of the new camera angles can help me with that...

my white whale if you will would be the ability to draw walks..... if i get a single walk in a single game i am over the moon if you will... that is how often i see them happen.

i have fouled off so many pitches that are outside the zone in some at bats that i could have walked twice in one at bat... i tell myself every at bat... do not swing until you get two strikes on you...

well then i get a hit and my brain says.. screw that... we can swing and hit anything.... and well it all goes to H*ll.......

one of my personal goals t his year is to get at least one walk every game f the season... that would suit me fine....

I had one perfect game with Scott kazmir on my Detroit franchise back like 5-6 years ago I think. Can't honestly remember but when '16 comes out, I'm starting all these achievements all over again.

Here's the list I have going that I want to accomplish:
                      • Triple play
                        5 HR
                        20+ K
                        Play all 162
                        No hitter
                        Perfect game
                        Cycle
                        Back pick
                        Win WS

That's what I got so far. The play 162 is going to be hard for me since I control 6 teams in my franchise(one from each division)

I'm assuming your anti-QC...but damn it's a feature that really makes walks a bigger part of the game. You'll walk and walk people.

The lack of QC is what really hurts my interest in the game. I just don't work the counts like I should and when pitching I feel like I can throw a strike at any time.

I get the whole "I want to truly work the counts myself" angle. I just feel QC's bring so much I'll give up some of the at bat dynamics.

Wow, much higher numbers than mine. I am entering the last month of the season and I think I am like at 46 walks and 42 strikeouts.

Another thing I would like to accomplish is to not be the team and, probably, league leader in grounding into double plays.

For me would be actually playing a game of the season lol. I'm always working on the rosters that I never have a chance to play some season games. I usually sim to see how the stats turn out. I've played few exhibition games and rtts. I've gone one full season as a closer in rtts, that's as far as I got.

No-no or perfect games would be one of them too.. never got any of them in any of my baseball games.

I've watched a couple no hitters gotten broken this past month while I had cpu vs cpu playing. Was intense Eventhough I didn't play them lol.

Yeah since 2010 I think, I have finished about 3 to 4 seasons a year with the Show in franchise mode. Average probably about 6 or 7 with RTTS.

But this is the only sports game I play and I only pick up maybe 6 or so titles a year.

Just off the top of my head with 14 and 15, I have finished 11 seasons combined. 7 Franchise and 4 RTTS
