I've hit many with Latos and Archer. I don't know what my white whale would be. I pitched a perfect game with Mike Leake in '14. I pitched a no-hitter to the Phillies this year with the 89 Latos. I want to hit a home run over 500 ft, I haven't done that.

Well, that's off the bucket list. Thanks Jake - this was all him.

Re: What is your "White Whale" in the Show?

Many posts about perfect games. Funny is mine is to just finish a season in my franchise. I have played every year since 08 on the PS3 and never get past the second month or so. I just don't have the time and dedication.

As for perfect games I pitched 1 2 years ago I think it was with Chris Sale. I just missed another the other day with him as well. Had a perfecto into the ninth but gave up a hit then a run a bit later. Had the bullpen warming but was able to finish the complete game.

In the same boat here. I usually make it to the All-Star game and don't finish the season. My goal this year is to complete a season. I'm 54 games in right now, I just need to keep up the momentum.

I expected perfectos to be numero uno.
Followed closely by triple plays & hitting for the cycle.

The big one is playing all 162 games in a franchise, I also really want to document my franchise mode and post them on here

Have pitched numerous perfect games and even more no-no's, but have never hit for the cycle in any Mlb: The Show going back to the beginning.

no hitter / perfect game without a doubt.

I have carried a no hitter into the 9th on 4 separate occasions, once in a game where my SP accumulated 20 K's. Each time I surrendered a hit in the ninth, and in one case my starter even blew the game - surrendered a grand slam in the ninth to cost me the game 4-3.

Re: What is your "White Whale" in the Show?

                      Definitely was a perfect game.
The way it happened was kind of humorous. I was in the majors for all of two months. Sailed thru the minors and everything was going great until one day I started struggling....after four games of throwing pitches all over the place....my controller died...it was obviously messing me up because after switching to a charged controller it was like I had tunnel vision and I got my first perfect game against the Nationals! Of course it helped that Harper got the day off and only pinch hit in the 9th.....

I have three so far, and I've been playing since 2008:

                        Walk off Grand Slam

Perfect Game (oh so close, damn those 9th inning walks!)

                        ITM Cup: Canterbury
                        MLB: New York Mets
                        Bundesliga: FC Schalke 04

New one with the morale system...a player with all leprechaun green faces.

Not just that light one, but that green as green can be one.

It used to be hit for a cycle but I did that last night with my 18 year old speedy CF in RTTS. He was batting about .390 with 1 HR and 15 SB on the season as the back up CF for the Mobile Bay Bears (don't ask me why he's not a starter with that batting average).

He made the starting lineup for the Southern League All-Star game. He had a single to lead off the first, hit a double in the 3rd, drove in 2 runs with a triple in the 4th. He came up to bat in the 7th with two on and two out. He turned on an inside fast ball on the 3rd pitch of the at bat. I thought it was going foul the whole time but then I heard the sound of a ball hitting a fair pole and I jumped for joy. He hit for the cycle in the All-Star game. He was pulled in his next at bat but his team won the All-Star game 5-1 with him having all 5 RBIs and being named player of the game.

So close yet so far. I just finished a game were I came so close to finally getting my no hitter. I traded for Samardzija at the deadline in my franchise and in his 3rd start with me I threw a 14 K, 1 BB, 1 hitter against the Nationals. I gave up the "hit" in the 5th inning. Wilson Ramos hit a hard ground ball right at Addison Russell but right before he caught it, the ball took a bad hop over his shoulder and ended up in left field. They didn't have anything else even remotely close to a hit. Being so close made it one of the most frustrating yet exciting games I've ever had.
