In my franchise the Indians are struggling and have been hit with the injury bug. What would it take to get Jose Ramirez from the Indians. He is hitting .274 5 HRs 21 RBIs.

Are you thinking around two top 50 prospects or am I light. I know in the game he is underrated with only being a C POT which in my opinion is quite a bit light for his POT but what are you thinking in terms of how many prospects and where they fall on top 100 lists.

Well it would help to know what team you are. But the Indians aren't giving him away. Start with your teams #1 prospect and build from there

Not saying you should do it, but if I'm the Indians I wouldn't do the trade without getting Vlad Jr as the main piece

I still have all of my prospects. There is no other package i could get away? Just wondering bc as you can imagine Vlad Jr is going to be a stud one day but if that is the only way I might have to bite the bullet.

Ramirez was a 4.8 WAR player last year and he's super cheap. Just last year for example was over $40 million in surplus. So yeah I wouldn't move Ramierez without getting Vlad Jr. Regardless of what you think of him. In real life he's already at 2.5 WAR in mid June.

And I think Vlad Jr will be a stud

I'm the pirates. Does a trade of Hanson and meadows along with Josh bell get me Hosmer and Escobar from KC? I would be trading two top 50 prospects and a good young first basemen to replace Hosmer? Fair trade for both?

You won't like the answer. Ramirez is under contract for 7 years and $50 million. He's 24 so it's reasonable to expect him to average at least 4 WAR going forward. That looks like 7 x 4 x 10 = $280 -$50 for a surplus of $230 which is more than Vlad Jr + Alford + SRF and then some more. Like were talking an insane amount of value.

I didn't realize it till I did that math. Jose Rameriz isn't going anywhere

Way way way too much. You wouldn't need to give up Meadows or Bell to get Hosmer and Escobar isn't very good.

Josh Bell is a 300 hitter in every single franchise I have simmed (a lot) and the Pirates are usually very good. Use a platoon of Mercer and Hansen at SS and use your prospects to grab pitching. Fans REALLY wanted Quintana last winter.

The Pirates pitching staff is very good in MLBTS 17... currently best team ERA in my Braves franchise. Add Quintana and you've got a shot at making the WS. Deal would obviously start with Meadows.

Are Kang and Marte available in your Franchise?

Been scouting the Giants for a while for a potential Gardner/Paid-Down-Ellsbury landing spot before I start the 2017 season, I have my eye on Joan Gregorio, Jordan Johnson, Eduardo Suarez, and Matt Krook as potential targets to go after.

Thoughts on the ability of landing Gregorio (C-POT, #8 on MLB.com, #7 on BA) + Johnson (C-POT, #9 on MLB.com, not ranked on BA) + Krook (C-POT, #12 on MLB.com, not ranked on BA) for Gardner/Paid-Down-Ellsbury + something? Maybe a reliever or another outfielder?

If you're not concerned with realism then you don't need any more advice. Any number of the trades in this thread can be used as a base for any young #2-3 type that you might want. Just find one and make a deal.

It doesn't sound likely that you're going to play long enough for teams like the White Sox to be competitive anyway, so it really doesn't matter how fair the deal is. Let the CPU logic control the other team and work a deal.

If he is playing as the Brewers, it is him playing as the GM and he can make whatever deal he wants. The point of the realism factor is on the other side of the coin - that would be the Rays.

So could I do Bartolo Colon and RA Dickey to teams that desperately need a SP for a high C or low B prospect? I'm thinking the Rockies and Tigers. The Rockies would get RA Dickey and his NL top-10 2.35 ERA and 0.97 WHIP for a low B/high C and the Tigers would ship a C for Colon, who is posting pretty good numbers (~3ish ERA). That's all I know I wanna do for now.
So I already did Bartolo Colon to Detroit for OF Derek Hill, 21 Y/O, C POT, 58 OVR simple, realistic trade for a team fighting to make the playoffs.

I'm still looking for who on the Rockies to give for RA Dickey. Any help there?

Another team that's completely out of it is the Yankees. Who would they realistically be selling if they were completely out of it? They probably need to get rid of one of Gregorious or Headley to make room for Torres. Headley is currently on the DL until mid-June and Torres is doing really well playing third in his place.

Rockies do not take Dickey or Colon. They already have 7 decent SP so unless you are looking at giving them a big upgrade somehow...and Dickey is not that upgrade.
