I'm sure this has been asked before but what can I realistically get for Pablo Sandoval - or how do I make a fair trade involving him? I'm not really concerned on what I'm getting back I just really want him gone.

Then cut him. That's your realistic option

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

I have been extremely disappointed in this years version of The Show and haven't been playing much but have been playing a little franchise mode lately and noticed some problems with trading for a what looks like players rated 90+ and A potential.

Example: Blue Jays are in "Rebuilding" mode so I offer 3 great prospects for 29 yr old 97 overall A potential Andrew Benintendi who is signed for 26.61 m for 4 more years (it's 2024). Trade gauge thingy is an entire notch to the Blue Jays side, I have the budget room, no injury conflicts or lack of players at a position etc. and no go even with "force trades" on. The only way I can trade for Benintendi is give up someone in the 90s with A potential (34 yr old Bumgarner for example) and 2 scrubs even if the trade comes out pretty heavily on my side.

This seems to be a general problem with trade logic. The CPU won't take 3 75+ overall A potential prospects all under 24 with 0 MLB service time for anyone no matter how old if they are 90+ overall and A potential unless I give back someone not matter how old rated 90+ with A potential

I think most of us have given up on the computer trade logic and are making most trades ourselves via 30 team control.

It's a shame, but it's also not possible to be as perfect as we'd all like it.

Brewers are in 2nd place in division after the first month. So it's still early.

This franchise will be continued through future SHOWS series. I plan to play 2 season per each game. So I'm trying to build depth in my minor leagues.

Harrison is interesting to me for different reasons and feel like it could be a good change of scenery trade. As if the players in front of him pan out he most likely won't be in the Brewers future in this franchise.

Looking at trading SS Jorge Polanco, LF Eddie Rosario and a pitching prospect (K. Stewart, F. Romero, S. Gonzalves, T. Jay) for a mid-high level starter. Any ideas where to start looking? I'd be willing to substitute E. Santana for anyone to make contracts match.

Yeah I use 30 team control if I'm going super immersive franchise but if I'm playing a more laid back one I'll just control one team and turn on force trades so I can over rule the CPU but it seems they've given the CPU the ability to over ride force trades this year... just a little annoying

Need some stats of the players involved and who is contending and not contending.

Also you aren't getting a mid to high level SP with one pitching prospect from the Twins and a couple of cast offs from the big league team

What would each of these guys cost as the Red Sox?

Jed Lowrie - 25 AB, 4 R, 0 HR, 1 RBI, 0 SB, .320 AVG (He's missed most of the season so far due to a broken hand, due to come off the DL in less than a week, so value wise, base his return on past success combined with real life stats for this year)
                      ** Tyler Flowers - 188 AB, 21 R, 4 HR, 19 RBI, 0 SB, .229 AVG
                      Devin Mesoraco - 180 AB, 19 R, 6 HR, 21 RBI, 0 SB, .211 AVG
                      Jonathan Villar - 227 AB, 33 R, 2 HR, 17 RBI, 28 SB, .251 AVG
                      ** Brandon Drury - 222 AB, 24 R, 7 HR, 18 RBI, 0 SB, .243 AVG
                      ** Yangervis Solarte - 229 AB, 24 R, 7 HR, 20 RBI, 0 SB, .249 AVG

I need a catcher and third baseman, plus a utility player would be a welcomed addition as well, so some of them can obviously be packaged together. The ones with stars are the ones I'm most interested in.

Also, would the Phillies consider moving Franco (256 AB, 37 R, 15 HR, 47 RBI, 0 SB, .262 AVG) with the stats he's put up so far, plus also being 1.5 games out from the wild card and 2 out of the east? I'd be willing to include established major leaguers like E-Rod and Bradley Jr. if need be, plus Devers.

                        Foolish, completely unrealistic question:

What would it take to get David Price to the M's after a couple of so/so seasons in Boston?

Manually injured him in 2017 until about mid-June, then he went 8-6 with a 3.92 era/1.3ish whip over something along the lines of 20 starts.

Playing with osfm hybrid rosters, so his contract has no opt-out.

M's had a pretty quiet 2017, and still have Lewis/O'neill.

The Red Sox would secretly love to get out from under that contract. But the key word is secret... they'll still want a king's ransom for him as they'll consider him one of the "best pitchers in the game" no matter how average he actually is.

It will probably have to be an offseason deal for you to be able to afford his contract, and the Sox will want 1-2 controllable guys who can contribute right away plus some prospects.

I don't know the M's roster very well but the trade starts with a guy who has service time <2 years and is top 6-7 in MLB at their position or top 25 if a pitcher.

Sorry, just realised my last paragraph didn't make in into the post.
