I bet all the arm chair GM's here (including myself) would have said, "no chance," to the Stanton deal if it had been proposed on here.

I also think the baseball world is going to be shocked how little the Marlins get for Stanton. He’s got them by the b***s because of his no trade clause and how much money he’s owed. He’s going to dictate to where and for how much he’s traded. I’d say it’s going to be one top-10 prospect and maybe two or three top-30 guys which isn’t much for a 60HR potential guy
I was saying all along, on here and to my friends, that when Stanton finally got traded it was gonna be for pennies on the dollar. Even my lowball guess was higher than the actual deal. Marlins fans should be pissed, they got absolutely fleeced.

Ugh. Who would have guessed that you'd spend $2.1 billion just for the opportunity to rip the soul out of an organization (again...).

Can confirm that I definitely said "No chance" multiple times on here to much better trade offers.

I think the first two trades will work fine. You might need to throw in Kirllloff in the Cole deal

Mets wouldn't trade Gsellman. I would say Montero and one of Dunn/Alonso

And I just don't think the Schwarber-Betances trade would work

To my knowledge if your profile is set to manual trades you can put players on the trade block and CPU will make their pitch and you can accept or decline (won't execute trade on its own). I don't recall if there is a separate line item for the human owned teams to set the trade block to auto; I don't mess with those little buttons on the play screens (only change things in the profile).

It's been a while since I've poked my head in here. I decided to boot up The Show after months away and needed to complete most of the deals that have been made over the last month so I can start up a new franchise.

I feel like I just spent half an hour crapping all over trade logic and the efforts everyone made in this trade to stay realistic and logical.

In 2017-18 offseason. Would like to bring Danny Duffy and Scott Alexander of the Royals to the Cubbies. There have been rumblings of something similar involving Happ. But I would like to start the offer out as Schwarber and Oscar De La Cruz. What more do I need to add to get the Royals to accept? Using real life stats and situations.

So im thinking. With Stl wanting to rid themselves of Fowlers contract, clearing up the OF logjam and needing/wanting SP, would they take on the Tigers bad contract in Zimmerman while Detroit gets a legitimate CF.

                      Detroit gets Fowler
                      Cards get Zimmerman

                      Thoughts?

Giving around 10 ok prospects isnt going to get you those two, let alone Yelich. It would cost around Albies, Acuna, Wright at least and maybe more given the inner division tax for both Realmuto and Yelich.

I could see one of Acuna/Albies, but not both. They would deal from pitching depth more so than players slotted for roles in 2018.

Point being if it takes both of them, the deal isn't happening.

Furthermore - I don't think (and I would agree with this) AA would trave Acuna straight up for Yelich based on his upside and years of control/salary.

I think the other rumors regarding them searching for SP FA's, indicates that maybe one of Gohara/Newcomb plus a litany of other prospects would be moved.
