i'm playing as the indians so it's not the team I'm using

can anyone recommend a slider setting(s) or another settings change so I could get like a setting between beginner and rookie to play on for a while?
You can use dynamic difficulty, then set the dynamic difficulty slider to zero when you reach your desired difficulty level. This will lock you in place.

Edit: FYI dynamic difficulty has more granular levels. Also, probably should ask a simple question like this in the Q&A thread in the future. Doesn't really have much to do with strategies.

I've used dynamic since day one but it just keeps bouncing me between the two levels, LOL. But yeah a low end of rookie might be what i need. where is the dynamic slider located at?

I'll post this in Q&A as well.

It's the first slider in the list of gameplay sliders.

Maybe I am a complete moron, because I haven't seen anyone even ask this question, but how do you get diamond players?? I have probably logged over 24 hours of playing in 2 weeks and only haven 10,000 stubs. I have played ranked seasons, conquest (conquered the board), started playing battle royals more, and I have completed a bunch of missions. I'm level 60, but have yet to get even halfway towards being in he market for a worthwhile diamond player.

What really throws me is that I come across teams in ranked seasons with Betts, and 1, 2, maybe even 3 other diamond players.

          What am I missing???

You either pull them in packs (good luck!), get them as in-game rewards (good luck!), or play the market and buy them. I've bought a bunch of cards low that I think will go up when a roster update w/rating changes comes out -- I mean like 15-20 of certain payers -- so I'll sell those if things work out.

I honestly think a lot of people purchase stubs with real $ and then buy their diamonds. Then there are people who work the market constantly, like that's an actual separate mode in the game (it kind of is).

Untapped potential in this game: the old middle school stock market project. Anything to get the Show into classrooms...

Just went through my first offseason with a franchise continued from 16...and they seem to have changed the way the budget is represented. As such, I was unable to sign any free agents and, worst of all, had no idea why. It was so much more straightforward in previous years, with a simple "remaining funds" figure. What do cash flow and max bid represent when trying to sign a free agent? Did my pending contract offers to my own players prevent me from bidding on FA's?

I wouldn't think that spring training uses options. On the last day of spring or the day after spring training ends you will get a notification asking if you want to advance to the regular season. You will need to make sure to move any minor leaguers down if you don't want to burn an option before you advance to the regular season.

Spring training DOES use options. Non-roster invitees have been on people's wishlist for a long time in this game. As it stands now, they have to be on your 40 man to go to spring training and if they are on your 40 man they use an option when they get sent down. There are no loopholes to prevent this.

I apologize if this isn't the correct thread for this question.

Do we consider quick manage in franchise mode to produce realistic stats?

sorry if wrong thread, about season mode. have rosters on manual, no trades, free agents, all manual, notice if you put someone on the 60DL on another team your not controlling, it will sometimes sign a free agent, is there anyway to prevent this?

How do you guys hit the high fastball? In online games, I swear I'm batting .000 versus fastballs in the upper 3rd of the strike zone.

IN-GAME, go to camera view in the pause menu (might be under visuals -- easy to find nonetheless), select an already existing view, tweak, and save.

Must be done separately for both hitter and pitcher, but should carry over to all other games in that mode (Franchise, for example).
