I lowered power for both myself and computer two notches less, so we are both at 3, still seeing HR but I think it's toned do we a bit.

Wow...definitely sounds like the new ball physics are the possible/probable cause for this.

I don't own the game (yet), and after reading this there is no way I am buying until this is fixed. Reading guys with 50-60 power hitting multiple HR games and most being 400-450ft bombs!?

Yeah definitely can't purchase this game until a good 2-3 patches come out and hopefully fixes this issue.

All you guys complaining about to many HR have to realize that not everyone can pound the ball like a boss. I'm having more fun playing online rated games this year than I have in years. I got real tired in the last few years of swinging as soon as the ball leaves the pitchers hand. 1 to 0 games get old after awhile.

I'm strictly referring to offline franchise.

Definitely not getting to many homeruns. The hitting is a bigger challenge this year for me with default sliders.

Easily the best looking and playing version of the show yet!

I think the issue is more than just hr's. Just tons of smoked balls in general. Im seeing lots of solid hits that when looking where the ball was in location to the pci, didn't seem like it deserved to be a solid Hit imo. Now these don't deserve to be weak hits, but not 100+ off the bat. It's like this in between of squaring the ball up and catching it on the Fringe of the pci that needs tweaking imo.

With directional hitting I am just not having this problem. Maybe I am not a good player. I dunno.

I worry that the problem is for guys just crushing with zone mostly and they are gonna tweak it and directional hitting will then be too weak.

Are you guys experimenting with sliders?

I've got the same problem, too many HR and bombs and I'm just an average Joe when it comes to batting (AllStars difficulty).

Are you zone or directional? I think this is the bigger factor than overall difficulty

I feel like when I look at vids of people hitting moonshots they are getting great contact and smashing the ball despite the PCI not being squared up in the least bit sometimes

Not sure why we aren't all having the same experience, but I'm certain something's off. Look forward to locating the secret sauce sliders and or a patch to shrink the pci.

After more games I certain we can calibrate with sliders. I've had early success limiting alleged overpowered home runs on hof, A&S sliders with these adjustments to user/CPU:

                      Contact: 5
                      power: 2
                      Timing: 4
                      Solid hits: 4
                      Fielder run: 3

Awesome, let me know what you find. The decreased fielder reactions and speed helps the hit variety and totals, and is increasing organic run totals for me.

I should add if they changed nothing, I'm obsessed with this years game, and even though I'd prefer to play default, the sliders work as intended and that's good enough for me. Incredible representation of the greatest game on a Earth.

                            Great job SCEA!

Only directional. I've tried zone and it's the same story, too many solid hits and HR (in less than four days I have almost the same HR I managed to score last year). Hopefully the team will investigate further, game is great and this is the only thing that put me off

I've given up six homeruns in 4 1/3 innings in my current game. I'm pitching on rookie. Somethings up.
