I create players from the past in some of the helmets look great on the players and some look too big.
Small guys with big ears like Billy Martin end up with helmets that are way too big.

The game needs way more stat overlays, and stats from around the league during games. Plus it needs more than the radio show, how about news articles based on whats going on around the league, maybe once a week or something?

better match making for online play now. instead of having to pick one difficulty or all. allow me to pick which difficulties i want to play on.

also display the difficulty somewhere in the game. sometimes i get matched up with users who clearly are not aware they are playing on legend because they picked any and i have to sit through the game until they quit because they won't accept a friendly...

turn balks on for online play now. not everyone has time to commit to a league!

Still don't understand how this game hasn't incorporated Pitcher and Catcher relationship/chemistry. We do not have a catcher rating for calling pitches ect... just basic baseball stuff, the same with the manager basing his decision off analytics. This game is mired an old time baseball economy.

Boy that would be a fantastic new feature. I play classic pitching with a clean screen and use the catchers calls 80-85% of the time (shake him off the other times) even watch his hand motions and set-ups on the inside or outside. I would love a "catcher calling a game rating" and "chemistry rating" with pitchers.

A huge layer of simulation can be added easily with that.

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17

I think a lot of changes will not be possible as long as they keep the current engine, i have a feeling they are starting to reach their limits with this one.
A new engine would probably mean having to redo a lot of stuff, so they keep this one going. (just my opinion, i'm not a game designer of computer programmer, so correct me if i'm wrong.

I would like to see better fps. I'm on the pro but it can still be better.
Replays are starting to get really old. Just more of the same and a lot of times they are hit and miss.
More atmosphere, i feel there was more in 16 compared to 17.
Want to see more player emotion, more crowd emotion, especially in the playoffs.

Hope they keep adding more and more new animations, and more classic stadiums.
Classics rosters is all I'm using now so that would be great.
I'd love to have the option to design a logo, and put it somewherein the ingame scorebug.
That way we could recreate the NBC logo and really have a more nostalgic feeling when playing with classic teams.

For me (just my opinion) they can remove retro mode.
I'd love for them to focus on other things, but it must be hard for SDS to please everybody, I understand that.

As a 48 year old strictly offline gamer I hate seeing where a lot of games are going these days : online modes and earning models and not enough focus on the offline part.
SDS are still doing a great job with this game, and i certainly will buy the next one again, but let's hope they keep giving love to the offline parts as well.

in game audio from players. cheers from the dugout.

                more stats in game presentation.

                better diving from corner infielders

                more attributes for position players

more in depth training (like nfl 2k5)

more options for playing online games( such as creating an online franchise where one user can play on HOF difficulty while others can play on LEG, including vs each other)

more animations for balls caught near the wall.

collisions or less ghosting. maybe make players move out of the way at least.

                turn balks on for DD

also allow us to choose difficulty for DD.

Oh I almost forgot. For christ's sake, put in a system or popup that tells the user when a base is being stolen. This has been a problem for like 8 years now where sometimes a base gets stolen and no one says anything and there's no way to know until it's way too late.

I'm not buying the game if they don't figure out a way to import newly created players into existing franchises. Every year, I buy this game, and every year, my franchise never gets out of April. I restart over and over, every time a new rookie gets called up for my favorite team, and then eventually, its the All Star break in real life and I just give up.

I realize that importing a player into an existing franchise could be problematic with stats since you'd have to overwrite another player, but there is an easy solution. Single A. Right now that's just a holding ground for players who aren't accumulating stats. Just allow a newly created player by SCEA to overwrite someone on the single A holding area. It seems like an easy solution.

SCEA has mentioned this feature for several years, and it never gets put in. I'm so tired of waiting for 'full minors' for a month, then starting, then restarting like 5 times.

So this year, I'm actually going to take a stand and not buy it. There's too much else to play. If they put this feature in, then I'll be back. I feel the same way about split O/D difficulty in Madden. I know its not a feature that everyone is clamoring for, but until its in the game, I'm not going to enjoy it, so I have to stop just giving the dev's money year after year.

Pitchers motions as well. Double your mo-cap staff if you need to, this is the #1 priority for next year.

                      2. We need to be able to assign a HR swing to any stance from the same side of the plate. They should not be tied to one stance as they only need to have the same follow through (2 hand or 1 hand) to trigger the animation.

                      3. Team color 4 needs to be added and be associated with the color of the pants the team is wearing so that we can easily make white/gray home/away gear.

                      4. Outfielders need to wear a 12.5 to 13.5 inch version of their glove, not the 11.5 inch they were now. This is the 3rd year in a row its been wrong.
#2 is one thing I wish for every year. Sometimes I just don't care for a guys stance but love the HR animation or vice versa but I will also be ok with a bigger selection of generic HR animations and not the same 5 or 6.

Great idea I would really enjoy being able to have franchise function like roster functions I create players from the past and it would make my job a lot easier I also would like to be able to simplify franchise so when I am set with my roster it stays that way no Trading no bringing up players from the AAA excetera. One more thing I would like to be able to play with the original 16 teams.
                        Love this game

-Ability to select your pitcher in DD when playing vs the CPU. The grind on some of these missions for pitching are terrible because of having to quit constantly to get your correct pitcher to start the game.

-Ability to set your DD lineup for RH or LH pitchers. You keep the same 13 players in your 25 roster, but able to have two lineups. Keep the pitcher's throwing hand a mystery like now so no one can quit based on that. But it would be nice to use some cards that need a platoon partner.

-User ability to make diving /jumping catches. Even on rookie the cpu is a stud making these catches. But we try and our player will completely dive past a ball. Or the lazy delayed dive where you go higher than you go distance wise.

-Overhaul of MO capped animations. It's obvious animations that are in the game pre PS4 era are not working well with the engine your now using. Base running, catch and tag, and catcher animations really need some attention.

-More MLB Network integration. There are so many cool presentation features they could add in. Top plays, Pregame/Post-game MLB Tonight. They are so far behind in this area compared to other sports titles, it's really the only part they lag behind in.

-Franchise/RTTS need some real love this next year. Trade logic is still bad, player morale is a hindrance. Spring training does nothing for the mode. For RTTS separation of equipment from DD. In other my player modes you earn equipment through sponsorships earned and spending currency you earn. Perfect opportunity for your contract in game to mean something.

Ability to appeal to the 1st base/3rd base umps on a check-swing from the CPU.

Ability to make a double switch even when you pre-scheduled a pitcher to come in.

Just picked up a Pro so I am hoping for improvements in the visual department.

I have not bought The Show the last two years because it's unacceptable that the batter swings, pitchers throwing motions and body types are STILL generic after 7-8 years. They have NOT changed at all. No emotion in the players faces when they throw or swing. Pitchers lack any kind of intensity - the radar shows 99mph but the animation looks like they're throwing BP.

NBA 2K has body types and shot releases down to perfection. Not sure why The Show is still stuck in 2010 when it comes to this.
