How do top prospects even end up as a free agent in the first place?

That was the real issue last year and the previous, in the first year teams would for some reason not sign most of their draft picks so there'd be tons of great young players on frees at the end of the first season

So far in this stream, I've seen Arenado and Stanton on the trade block along with Moncada being traded to the Dodgers. Not impressed with the computer AI.

Exactly my point, this seems like much bigger issue than retirement logic. I remember it being easy to grab up good prospects each offseason if you want. Hopefully they fixed this too. I just thought it was funny they mentioned top prospects retiring but didn't mention why they are free agents in the 1st place.

Looks like they've still not updated players potentials from years ago. Seriously hope they sort that out as it's bizarrely lazy to not update these things

as someone who just started playing the game a couple of years ago, but doesn't particularly know the ins/outs of all the MLB salary/transaction rules.... I'm happy with the changes that puts the critical information out in front of you. No more having to dig through the rule book.

I get people won't be happy about the inclusion of things like stadiums, but this will maybe keep people like me that struggled to stay invested in Franchise to stick around.

Look, I know it's cool to hate on the lack of improvements to Franchise, but I like the menus, they look cleaner and quicker.

Maybe, but the White Sox are rebuilding. They should not be trading Moncada in any first year sim.

I have to say, I like the offseason phases stuff. I had a franchise that I had to start over because I missed that I had to tender contracts to everyone and lost most of my players. This would have helped me.

Also, lol at the Tigers signing Bumgarner in FA.

we hear you franchise guys, me and such and such worked on this because we hear you guys. And in the next breath we did research, again data mining and we see you guys are not good at finding stuff so we made menus.

I found it hard to find things sometimes so I will be expecting some thank you letters from the community for being somewhat responsible for this exciting new part of franchise. 😜
