Never. Ramone and his team have yet to let me down. So excited for Friday!

Personally no. When I saw that they were releasing MLB '18, I pre-ordered.

In regards to your situation, if you are not excited about the game and are having doubts, then I would hold off. Maybe wait a few weeks to see if you can find on sale and hear the varying opinions from OS. Low on funds or not, $60 is $60 and spending it on something that you're not sure you'll even like would be throwing away hard earned money.

But seriously, how is buying a video game such a tough decision for people? I get that it its $60, but if you don't think you want it, just don't buy it.

Is there really more to it? Are you afraid if you don't buy day one you won't get to change your mind and buy it later?
For some people, $60 is a lot of money. For others it's more of a referendum about whether they think the game/developers are worthy of that chunk of their change. People are acting like consumers trying to make the right decision for them and I think that's a good thing. I'm sure there are a lot of reasons if you ask different people.

Now, if your post is just a loaded way for you to say "I don't think this thread has any value, make up your minds already and I can't understand you people," then that would be unnecessarily condescending and there's no need for that. Hard to read intent over the internet...

I went from 15 on PS3 to 17 on PS4 and I was underwhelmed surprisingly. From the videos I've seen, 18 will be underwhelming as well. If Super Mega Baseball 2 wasn't coming out this year I'd probably pay $60 for it because I enjoy the game of baseball that much. I may get it when it's on sale for around $30. I need something that feels fresh though. SMB2 will scratch my baseball itch.

I pre-ordered The Show today, but I may also end up getting OOTP for franchise stuff.

Pre-ordered no questions asked.I went out bought a PS3 so I could play the Show 10 after watching it being streamed one day and I had a Xbox 360 at the time with 2K which was okay but nothing like I saw on the Show. Then when the PS4 came out there was no question what console/system I was going to buy having said all that this past Christmas purchased a PS4 Pro " hot diggty dang " now that's some baseball there.

Normally, I'm pre-ordered and paid for by December. For some reason this year, I still haven't been able to pull the trigger. I'm sure I'll be buying in the next few days but just being frustrated with the franchise staleness has held me back up to this point.

I wasn't going to buy this year after all those server issues from last year, but when I saw the new direction of RTTS & improvements to DD, i became excited & preordered from BB. Hopefully not that many people buy it so they don't bog down the servers this year.

Intrigued to try out the new BSC, plus SunTrust Park is corrected along with half of the NL East's uniform colors lol. I also kind of feel like the new jersey PBR is going to show up a lot better on my television than it does on the computer. I'm always more wowed playing this game on TV than I see it in any form on my monitor, and this kind of stuff stands out much more.

On top of that, I'd like to feel how hitting as change with a PCI that doesn't lock in place when you start your swing, and more of the ball physics changes that have been made. Plus, some De Rosa commentary and new presentations such as full-speed replays are beckoning.

Not to mention I'm also only going to be getting it for a few bucks. Seems like the right move.

Pre ordered digital version. Will be pre loading on the 21st and playing on the 23rd. No brainer for me. Still enjoying 17 at the moment. Armors sliders, Yankees franchise = Heaven.

I waited shortly after the RttS stream to pre-order this year around. I generally pre-order around the time the game is announced. I initially was going to hold off on buying it, however, I figured the changes could make RttS better. Plus, SunTrust Park looks great.

Even if I didn’t want it, I’m weak. I have no regrets. I’m buying!

I think with the new ball physics, tagging and other small but important tweaks it was an easy preorder for me this year.

They'll really have to overhaul a lot next year though to get me picking it up day one, even if they added a create stadium option.

Nope, it's pretty much as expected and advertised. I'm mainly a DD and Franchise guy, from the sounds of it they heavily improved servers, updated the interface for DD and Franchise, as well as fine tuned some franchise legacy problems and implemented some nice game play improvements. Sounds like a solid buy for me, it would be nice to have a franchise overhaul for something fresher as we've had relatively the same mode for several years now, but it's still solid.
