Those "Plate Discipline" + 's for taking balls are every bit as gratifying as I expected them to be.

I turned off the "matrix effect", and don't get it at all when playing defense at first base. The Showtime issue, I do see.

Get into a hitters count, wait for your pitch, get it, and swing early....it doesn't matter what your power rating is. Power just makes it easier to send it over the fence when you don't catch it clean (which includes balls that go out toward CF). Didn't even move the PCI because I wasn't going to swing unless the pitch was right in the middle of it.

Power rating is 25 vs both L and R, btw.

Can anyone tell me how quickly on average your player gets called up in this year's RTTS? I found MLB17 tended to call you up unrealistically fast, in all of my RTTS playthroughs I was nearly always called up after one season, sometimes even sooner. I play on HOF difficulty and never spent stubs to artificially increase ratings so I found getting called up that quickly to be completely immersion-breaking. I'm really hoping the new progression system slows down your player's MLB ETA a bit, preferably around 2-3 years. I'd test this myself but I haven't bought the game yet and I'm waiting on the OSFM rosters to drop before I start. Thanks for the help

Well, From what I have experienced so far I think it's going to be a little bit of a grind in the minors before you get a shot at moving up to the Show. I could be wrong but it's not as easy as it was in 17 just the way it's set up. JMHO.

That would be awesome if it's true unfortunately people will cry about it if they have to play in the minors too long

Can you post screens on where this option is or how you did it? Thanks.

When in your Road to the Show mode main/clubhouse screen, click R1 to go to "Options", select "Settings & Sliders", select "User Settings", then go down and select "Mode-Specific Options". The second option on the next screen is "RTTS Infield Fielding Reaction". Mine is turned to "Off". I get no slowdown when playing first base.

Just curious, did you use square on that particular swing? I generally use x because it feels easier to check swings that way for me but thinking I should venture out to the square button more often seeing results such as your posting.

If I tell you I cried a little bit would you believe me! Can I give you a hug! You literally just saved this game for me! Now just to get rid of that ShowTime UI element on the screen and I will be set!

I don't play RTTS but I play CAP Player Lock and Franchise mode. I must have overlooked the option!

I will try to follow this up with screen shots so others can find if needed.

                          Thanks!

Nope. That was an X button "normal" swing. Just squared it up perfectly.

I actually haven't taken a single power swing in this RTTS so far (33 AB's), hitting .455 with 2 HR's. Legend difficulty in AA ball, which is actually HOF - yes, that difficulty shift appears to still be a thing.

That whole "nothing but power swings" thing I was talking about pre-release is just something I'd mess around with on the side - this is my real RTTS.
