Try pushing the LS to the left if the defender is on the inside of the bag or push the stick to the right to slide to the outside of the base.

The funniest thing happened I was replaying a homerun but this time instead of the hitter in the batting box hitting the homerun the guy in the batting Circle hit the homerun. The pitcher didn't throw it to home plate on the playback.
Instead he threw it to the batting Circle and the guy who hit the homerun that was on Deck. I should have taken a video of it.

I‘ve just played around a bit and created a pitcher for the first time. Can anybody explain what I have to do to throw a Pitch Out? Everytime I try to do it with the controls shown (L1+X) my guy just steps off and watches first base.

You have to press both buttons at the same time

Guys- Do you have the ability to play this game similar to OOTP 18/19 in the sense that you can just run things like a GM and watch games play out cpu v. cpu? Can you do the same in mlb 17?

I've never played OOTP series so I'm not sure how it plays out games and such. But with the Show you can essentially be the GM and not have to play the games.

You could:

Quick Manage games - This is where you sim out the at-bats but you have some influence as to what happens in terms of stealing, hit and run, pitch outs, pitch around, subs, etc....

Manage Only - This is where you are just manage the game but the game still plays out in front of you in terms of gameplay. You see every pitch of every at-bat as if you were playing the game yourself.

Sim - You could just sim the game

How do I save roster files and franchise files to my usb stick? Do I need at least a 3.0?

From the PS4 Dashboard go to:

SETTINGS > APPLICATION SAVED DATA MANAGEMENT

From there choose what you want to save to the USB drive. When you select the save file it will ask if you want to save to USB storage device.

Not sure about 3.0 being required.

Is there any way to turn off player progression for a player in rtts? I like the challenge of playing on legend and I don’t want my players super high overall to ruin that

When I get training options, sometimes only one field is upgraded, other times the same training all 3? Does the game explain this?

I have Arm Accuracy that says "Cannot Train" in red for some reason.

LONG time player here. My post-game auto-save isnt working in my franchise.

I'm using 30 team control (a first for me) and I've got the setting turned on in BOTH profiles (me and CPU) but it just doesn't save. Any ideas?

1) I don't play RttS.

2) It's likely if you have a question about it, then others do as well. They can't answer what they don't know.

But if you want many to alert you that they don't know the answer rather than not post, I'll start:
