Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
I'm looking for some advice about hitting. I'm a small ball SS and trying to have a realistic career so I don't want to advance too soon. I'm cool with spending two or three years in the minors before making it to the show. But I'm a month in and I'm batting .420 and my player is rated 67 (I started at 62). I'm still in AA but I'm worried that I'll get called up soon. I'm batting on dynamic and am already up to veteran. In franchise, I usually keep it at All-Star.
So my question is should I keep batting at dynamic in RTTS and continue to play below my level or switch to all-star how I normally play? My dilemma is if I keep it on dynamic, I'll get too good too fast. But if I put it at All-Star when my guy is only rated at 67 I'm worried I'll perform poorly and my player will actually regress too much.
Thanks
I’m playing on Hall of Fame, which means Double A is on All-Star and MLB is on Legend. In 35 games in I got called up, which I didn’t like wanted to spend time in minors, but Orioles are awful so I guess they are going to call me up. I was hitting .342 in Double A, and in MLB I’m hitting sub .200 striking out about 50%, he hasn’t really regress as long your making quality at bats."2k Football Now" - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCal...MK48agD-UwulGwComment

Re: Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
Does anyone know how to add a 4th or 5th pitch once you reach the majors? It appears 18's method of scrolling down on training screen doesn't work.I don't have 19 yet so I can't check(asking for other people).
PS-someone posted you not only scroll down on the screen but you have to talk to a teammate who has the pitch you want.Hoping to verify.Comment

Re: Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
I have had three different players get drafted in the 15th round 1st pick by Baltimore. My cousin kept going back to college and got drafted in the same spot same team Baltimore all 3 times.
Finally I made a CP and just picked what team I wanted to be on

I'm a catcher so naturally, I don't posses a lot a speed. After a couple of caught stealings, I got a the cutscene where the manager gives me the red light. The very next game, I get two orders to steal. I ignore the first and follow the second, and predictably get caught. I then promptly get benched.

Re: Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
I used a personal roster (edited Toronto Blue Jays) for RTTS and i created a canadien born player. loved the feature that you can choose now your fave team in RTTS.
But what happened: After half of the season i got traded to Tampa Bay.... :-(Comment

I just wish we could get a fourth pitch from the start or after a month in the minor leagues. Learning new pitches when you get to the show is too late. Who wants to throw a 84mph sinker with no movement whatsoever? Especially with the way training is set up. All pitch type training should be lumped together so that you can get velo/break/control in one session.
I can get on board with learning a fifth pitch in the majors but I for one definitely need a fourth pitch ASAP.Comment

It's like last year. In "bullpen" you just scroll down and there's an option to add a variety of pitches from teammates. You don't really talk to them. It's just "learn 2SFB from teammate Andrew Miller" and then you get the pitch and a slight increase in your relationship with him.

Re: Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
Anybody having an issue with increasing some of the caps in RTTS? Batting clutch, speed, reaction are all stuck at their original caps with no opportunities to increase them in training. I have reported it as a bug to the show Nation. Wondering if I'm the only one...Comment

Re: Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
I’m having the same thing happen, but I’m guessing as you progress through your career, more CAP training sessions will appear. I think Sony didn’t want people to max out their RTTS player in 3-4 years of playing. I’m cool with that.PSN: buckeye02Comment

They should base it off service time.. because I dont want to wait 8 seasons to become the goat player when I carry over a save that has me 2-4 years in bigs already

It happens with any OF position, 2nd base, and 3rd base. Those are the only positions I've made players for.Comment

Re: Official MLB 19 : Road to the Show Thread
My frustration as an outfielder is that I have enough arm strength and accuracy to throw to at least 2nd base if not 3rd yet you only earn in game arm accuracy by throwing to the cut off man, even in cases when the cut off man is only a few inches in front of you and would make no sense to throw to him, if you throw to 2nd base yourself and it's spot on, still no arm accuracy.Comment
