I've gotten a better feel for the system but most of the time it's still a complete guessing game and its soooo frustrating when I make repeated errors that are not my fault. As far as I can tell there's no way to toggle the ball spot indicator on and off. Is this something that becomes available once your fielding attribute is high enough or is this feature just completely gone in RTTS?

    Any help is much appreciated!

As soon as the ball is hit, a blue-ish spotlight/cone thingy will appear under your player that is pointed/angled in the direction you need to run. Just keep running in that direction and you'll see the ball indicator.

I'm assuming you mean when balls are hit over your head or to the left/right of you you can't see the ball indicator. Surely you've seen it when balls are hit in front of your fielder?

Yeah, I know. I don't understand the logic there though, to be quite honest.

Thanks for the response! I see the blue cones always but the ball indicator has literally never shown up when I've followed them so I have no way of knowing if I'm in the catch zone, so to speak. So it ends up being a frustrating guessing game.

Just to clarify, we're talking about the giant baseball indicator that appears on the ground, correct?

Is there any way to change the rotating camera while playing in the outfield?

Also, I play LF and while visiting Fenway, the screen will not rotate so that the camera faces the green monster. Instead it’s like the camera is on the green monster and you’re looking straight down on your players head.

Making it near impossible to field fly balls close to the green monster or know when balls will bounce off the insanely high, shallow wall.

Is there a way to get the boost off of equipment without actually wearing it? For example, I want the +3 durability, +5 arm strength, and + 3 arm accuracy from the forearm sleeve, but I don't want to actually have it on during games.

Yes go to the equipment screen. X to equip it then O to back out, hit Triangle to bring up the menu, down to compression sleeve, select none then O to back out. You should no longer be wearing it on your player but it will still be equipped so that you get the stats then equip the rest of your gear as normal

Is there a way to turn off events? I’m trying to sim the last year of my contract, but can’t get 5 games summed in a row without having to talk to a teammate or hit the batting cage etc. VERY annoying.

I really hate RTTS this year. Incredibly frustrating and impossible to enjoy. Im a SP on the Tigers and got called up from AA to the MLB at 64 overall. Im now happily getting hammered every start no matter what pitches i throw, no matter what team i face. I feel like the challenges are complete garbage as well. Fittingly whenever i have the "end the inning in 15 pitches" the first hitter always fouls off at least 6 pitches. Every 0-2 count the cpu takes anything remotely off the plate and I NEVER get corner calls (even with the umpire calls on perfect). I feel like the CPU ratings don't even matter. The amount of homers i give up are UNREAL. I give up AT LEAST 3 homers a game regardless of the opponent. Absolute joke of mode that sets you up for failure.

                          Hi all,

If this has been answered somewhere, please feel free to just direct me to it. Is there a list anywhere of all the RTTS skills that can be gained from each of the 4 personality types? I'd like to know the potential perks to each tree before I put time into a particular one. Thanks!

I'm going to post this in here instead of making a new thread...

Can anyone explain what the strengths and weaknesses of the new archetype system do? What exactly does "easier to train" or "harder to train" mean? And what about all the attributes that are neither? Thanks.

Basically easier to train mean those are your primary attributes, so they are a lot quicker to level up. Harder to train, the ones in red mean they'll take you longer to train and the non coloured ones are in the middle in terms of how long it will take you to level them up.

So if you're a pure power architype then hitting for power vs lefties and righties will level up quicker as you get more XP for them but that power comes at a cost of speed so it will take you a lot longer to level up your speed and so on.
