I don't want to lose my franchise that I'm currently playing they are 90% legendary players. Mickey Mantle is getting very close to 500 career home runs so I have a lot of time invested creating my Field of Dreams.
Although I'm enjoying the heck out of this I would like to try and start a new franchise from my created players so that I would have two franchises is this possible?
I don't want to start a new franchise and eliminate the other franchise that I have invested so much time in please help

You can have multiple franchises, just make sure when you save you don’t overwrite either of them. I’d recommend keeping multiple saves of the same franchise just in case.

How do I update the new roster ratings each time? It says online that I go to diamond dynasty then go to "roster" and save them but I cant find it. I just got the latest update when I turned on the game, but they're still completely different from what shows up the shows website. Like Mookie Betts is a 97 rating but on the shows website it says he regressed 2 points this week from 90 to 92. Any ideas guys? I'm really having trouble figuring this out and this is my favorite game. Thanks in advance.

Question for off season franchise.

Lost majority of my roster from miners. Restarted my franchise cause I got frustrated. Can someone explain to me how to keep my players and the whole contracts and signing players during the off season please and thank you. Also what about the draft where you can draft players from other teams. What’s that about. During the off season.

Does the CPU trade block change at all during the season. Are players added or pulled off the trade block as the season progresses. I’ve never noticed a change during my franchise.

Sometimes, but its usually after they make a roster move (usually a trade)

I only have 17 so I'm not sure if you could offer extended contracts to your draftees (such that you'd have them for several years)...that would help. In 17 you can only sign them year to year. For your one year contract players when the off season starts you will have an opportunity to re-sign your personnel, and this is where you'd go to make the offers to your minor-league players too. With the addition of in-season contract extensions, you may be able to do this during the season now with these players. This is the place though to start off season right after the WS and as you move to the start of off season activities.

The Rule 5 draft is done for:

A player must have signed when they were 19 years or older and played professional baseball for four years are eligible. Players who signed at 18 and have played five years are also eligible.

— Players currently on a team's 40-man roster are "protected" and are not eligible for selection in the Rule 5 Draft.

If you select a player from another team, you have to keep him on your active roster (25 man roster) or you'd lose him back to the original team. The player is automatically put onto your 40 man roster.

If you make changes to a players attributes in Franchise, will they really make any difference? Ex. Giving a player a power increase or decrease.
