Ok got it. He's a 61 in the roster I'm using. Your storyline has me wanting to sign him and try to recapture the magic in an SF comeback as my 12-13 Giant's are seeking bullpen help.

The Giant's have signed Eduardo Nunez to a minor league contract. He will report to AA Richmond where he will try to play his way onto the Big Club and provide much needed bench depth and base stealing ability. The Giants have only been successful on 2 steal attempts through 25 games.

Chris Shaw has made his presence felt in 4 games since being called up batting .417 while mashing 2 home runs and driving in 5. Two of those hits were pinch hits which put the Giants ahead for good late in games.

The 2019 Atlanta Braves have wrapped up the month of April on a high note leading the National League Eastern Division. The teams focus going forward is to stay on top of the Eastern Division by getting on base more often by putting more balls into play and taking more walks. Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker was heard saying in an interview that "Luckily a lot of situations have worked out in our favor up until this point. April was a good month for the long ball and while we enjoy pleasing the fans with electrifying moments, our goal is to score runs and win games by any means possible. The pitching staff has exceeded our expectations and looks good going forward into the rest of the season. We've had a few injuries early in the season but our teams trainers and medical staff professionals are doing everything they can to keep the team healthy. It's a shame that starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz has been put on the DL this early in the season as he is an integral part of our starting rotation. LRP Sean Newcomb has been full filling his role in the starting rotation and after talking with Foltynewicz he's in good spirits and is looking forward to returning to the team later this year. Unfortunately, one of our utility men Charlie "Clutch" Culberson, was injured playing AAA ball just as he was expecting to be called back up and is also recovering nicely. There is a lot of baseball left this year and all we can do is take it one day and one game at a time. We are a team of fighters, the boys never give up and always play their hearts out. We've got a few kinks to iron out as the season progresses but I have total confidence that we will see you in the post season as we try to reclaim our long overdue World Series Championship title."

Cardinals activate Ozzie Albies from IL

The Cardinals have activated SS Ozzie Albies from the 10 Day IL. Albies was in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals and when 2 for 3 with a homeun, a triple, a walk and 3 RBI's. It was thought that he wouldn't return until Friday when the Cardinals hosted San Diego, but he returned a couple of days earlier.

Brendan McKay is expected to be activated Thursday and in the lineup Friday against the Padres.

              Cardinals sweep Nationals

The Cardinals swept the visiting Nationals in a 4 game series at Busch. The Cardinals have now extended their lead in the NL Central to 7 games over the Pirates with appx 24 games left to play.

The Cardinals did it with dominant pitching as all 4 starters (Martinez, Flaherty, Funkhouser, and Wacha) went 7+ plus innings and allowed 2 or fewer runs. The bullpen combined to pitch 7 1/3 innings over the 4 games allowing zero hits, zero runs, and racking up 15 strikeouts in those 7 1/3 innings.

The Cardinals will now host the Padres over the weekend. The Cardinals will have Brendan McKay back in the lineup Friday night as he was activated from the 10 Day IL after Thursday's game.

2024 White Sox - End of Regular Season

Another successful regular season in the books as White Sox end 2024 with the MLB's best record at 124-38 walking away with the division crown. The Sox don't wanna stop there as they head into the playoffs looking to defend their 2022 and 2023 World Series Championships.

Not only did we have basically the same team this year as our last 2 WS Champion teams we also had a couple rookies come up and steal the spotlight in SP Andre Simons and DH/OF Javier Estrada.

Simons (20 years old) finished the season 23-2, with a 1.64 ERA, 195 Ks, 0.99 WHIP in 235.1 IP in 32 starts.

Estrada (21 years old) was called up mid season and finished the season hitting .313 with 25 HRs, 80 RBIs in 377 AB's in 94 Games.

Few other standouts on the team:

SP Omar Salgado (26 years old) ended his 4th MLB season at 20-3, 1.80 ERA, 189 Ks, 1.05 WHIP in 229.2 IP in 32 starts.

SP Kevin DiBiase (23 years old) in his 3rd season went 23-3 with a 2.36 ERA, 141 Ks, 1.07 WHIP in 209.2 IP in 32 Starts

Second year closer CP Patrick McKenzie (23 years old) converted all 53 save opportunities with a 0.95 ERA with 47 Ks also collecting a 2-0 record in 60 Games. Also has a 59 save streak going from last season.

Yea I've had thoughts of raising pitching difficulty for next season as Hall of Fame has gotten way too easy with my pitching staff. Had it on dynamic for awhile and that's where it settled, but that was a couple seasons ago before my pitching staff was as good as it is now. So probably gonna put it back on dynamic. Sure would be nice to see if I can pitch on legend again like I did on 18...

Doing this on HOF is pretty impressive. Your offensive stats seem on point but your pitching stats are insane. I'd be curious how you'd do on Legend. Probably just fine.

Yea probably would be just fine. Do wish I struck out more batters, but yea I seem to pitch to contact more anyway. I do get the CPU to hit into double plays quite a bit, especially after a mound visit. My top 4 starters will be over 85 overall and 28 years old or younger next season and even my 6th starter is at 80, so Legend shouldn't be too hard.

Offensively it does seem perfect for me where its at. Some games I struggle to hit and others I can hit well. Start of season I was hitting horribly. If I remember correctly, was around 24th or so in average through first couple months of the season. Offense really started to take off when Yoenis Cespedes went down with an injury and Javier Estrada came up in June, I believe it was. Needless to say Cespedes didn't get starting DH spot back when he came back in August.

Just got done playing Game 1 of ALDS against Wild Card winner Oakland. Their starter took perfect game on me into the 6th. Ended up putting a 3 spot on him though in the 6th and ended up taking a 4-1 win.

Not sure if I have seen Lasorda, but in my White Sox franchise, forget what season it was, I noticed Tony La Russa was back managing the Athletics.
