I’m 6 games in with my Rays and I literally have no RBIs. My only run was the wild pitch I mentioned above. I suck so bad and am 1-5.

Cardinals take 3 of 4 from Pirates extend lead in Central

The Cardinals took 3 out of 4 from the Pirates over the weekend to extend their lead in the NL Central to 3 games.

The Cardinals again did it with strong pitching and hitting as they hit 11 homeruns in this series and only allowed 13 hits in the 4 games combined. The lone series loss was 2-1 defeat on Saturday.

The Cardinals get right back at it heading to Atlanta to face the NL East leading Braves for 3 games.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

This game take you through so many ev's & flow's. I had my best start of the season using my Braves. I had a seven game winning streak and was rolling! Then I went 2-8 in my last 10.Hopefully you can get on track.

I guess I chose to help the Dodgers during 7 game layover vs. the D-backs(4) & LAD(3).

I took 3 out of 4 from the Diamondbacks. It helped the Dodgers to a 5 game lead in the west. After all the Dodgers swept me and still rolling with a 7 game winning streak!

I got of mixture of offense and pitching going vs. the D-backs. Winning 3-1, 7-3 & 10-3. Losing 8-3. I love using Josh Donaldson 11HR, 32RBI BA. .293, slugging .579. Power to all fields, using normal or power swing.

On my way back to defend SunTrust Park for 6 games. The Cards and Brew Crew up next. I am currently 25-17 and have moved back to 1 game up on the Nats to lead the East!

I am now 1-8. But I have scored in back to back games now!!!! It’s a miracle. 4 runs in 9 games. And I strikeout an average of 15 times per game.

Sounds like maybe you should change difficulties, sliders, or possibly the user interface.

I agree. Trying to figure out which. I don’t like messing with sliders. Currently play on Legend - all default.

I would recommend one of the following changes:

                  1) Change hitting camera (I prefer WIDE)

                  or

                  2) Lower pitch speed slider just one notch to see if getting an extra split second to recognize the pitch helps

I tried a few other hitting views and sucked just as bad.

Thinking about the slider fix. I just get so swing happy.

I just finished a game and I'm so tired I can hardly hold my eyes open. Needless to say, I swung at a bunch of garbage. I still managed to get the win though. It was a miracle.

Currently 20 games into my Franchise with the Braves #ChopOn

Dynamic difficulty (currently Legend on pitching, in between Veteran/All-Star on hitting)

Current record is 17-3. Freeman leads the team with 10 HRs and 24 RBIs. Ender leads the team in AVG at .427. Acuna and Donaldson both have 5 HRs a piece.

I'll be streaming the rest of my games as they happen:

                          BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

The Rays have won a game! I “exploded” for 11 hits and won 5-0.

Changed a few things in my approach. We’ll see if this was a fluke or not.

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread

I’m having a pretty wild story play out in my first year of my Cardinals franchise. So I play one game of every series in the regular season and then in the post season I’ll play games 1,3, 5, and then every elimination game.

My regular season actually mirrored the actual Cardinals regular season pretty closely. We started out strong but ended up around .500 at the break. After the break we were on fire top to bottom and ended up with 91 wins. Carpenter was really the only outlier from the actual Cardinals because I hit just under 300 with him and 47 HRs.

We easily took the NL Central with a 12 game lead over the Brewers and matched up with Atlanta for the NLDS. That series went 5 games but in St. Louis both teams only hit 3 HRs during the 3 games we played there. But the ball was flying in the games in ATL including a game where both teams combined for 11 HRs.

Next we went on to face the Dodgers who had the best regular season record in the NL with 99-63. We actually took the first two games in LA and won game 2 11-2 (simmed but still awesome). So I was pretty confident that we would wrap it up in at least 5. Nope. They kicked our butts for 3 straight games in STL. It was pathetic. Two of those games I actually played and they both basically went down to the wire. Game 4, which was simmed, was a 12-1 blow out. So we went back to LA for game 6. Dodgers opened up the scoring in the first half with one run and I was already feeling the heat and pressure of being eliminated after being up 2-0. But our guy Carpenter hit two BOMBS (450, and 447) in the 5th and 6th inning and we won comfortably 6-1 along with Mikolas going 6 IP, 8 SO, and 4 Hits. So tonight I’m going to play game 7 and I’m so pumped! Especially with being 3-0 in LA for the series and game 7 is in LA

Yadi has been unbelievable this post season after struggling to hit above .250 in the regular season, he has had a bass hit in every single post season game (simmed or played) and is batting over .500. Our bullpen has really flattened out after being on fire for the second half of the season but we’re making it work with some good management of our guys.

This is all on HOF with realistic sliders and no unrealistic trades or call ups.

I’ll post an update in a few days if you guys like

Just finished game 2 of the 3 game set with Cleveland. Braves win 6-1. Strong outing by Dallas Kuechel, and back to back jacks from Austin Riley and Ozzie Albies in the 8th.

                              Game 3, starting now!

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread

Man have I hit a major rough patch in my Phillies Franchise. I play every pitch of every game on HOF using Armor's slider set. I'm currently 16 games into June. I entered June with a record of 33-24. I have gone 6-10 so far in June and now stand at 39-34. My pitching has been an absolute trainwreck this month. It's been pretty mediocre all season so far but this month has been BRUTAL!

I ended up trading Jake Arrieta back to the Cubs for Cole Hamels. Bad contract swap and both weren't pitching well. Arrieta was worse. I've called up and demoted Jerad Eickhoff, Zach Eflin, Nick Pivetta, and Cole Irvin at different times trying to find some consistency but it hasn't been there in the rotation apart from Nola (who gave up 6 runs his last start). I'm calling Eflin back up for another start to take Irvin's place. I am strongly considering signing Dallas Keuchel for the rotation. I need help bad.

Overall, my pitching staff is 28th in MLB and dead last in the NL with an ERA of 4.81. We are dead last in hits allowed with 756. 5 worse than the Orioles. 28th in MLB and dead last in the NL with 345 earned runs allowed. We are also dead last in MLB with 117 home runs allowed and 29th in MLB and dead last in the NL with only 499 strikeouts.

It's amazing I was able to stay in first place in the NL East up until this last game against the Nationals where they took a 1 game lead in the division and knocked us down to second place. I have lost 4 in a row.

My bullpen has been ok for the most part except for my left-handed relief which has been a dumpster fire. I have used 5 different lefties so far this season. I actually acquired 2 via trade in Aaron Bummer from the White Sox and Tony Watson from the Giants. Both those teams are way out of contention already. I calculated my lefty relief stats for the season so far and it's not pretty.

                                60.2 IP
                                100 hits
                                53 earned runs
                                10 walks
                                43 strikeouts
                                23 home runs allowed
                                7.92 ERA

A 7.92 ERA just from the lefties. Along with Watson and Bummer who are with the big club, I have used Adam Morgan, Jose Alvarez, and Austin Davis who are all in Triple-A. Alvarez I demoted when Watson was acquired.

So far Bummer has pitched 3.2 innings and allowed 5 hits, 5 earned runs, 1 strikeout, and 3 home runs in 4 games.

Watson has pitched 0.2 innings and allowed 3 hits, 3 earned runs, 1 strikeout, and 2 home runs in 2 games.

This needs to get better or I'll be fighting all season long.

My offense has been solid on the other hand though. 14th in MLB with a batting average of .262, 1st in MLB with 406 runs scored, 19th in MLB in hits with 650, 1st in MLB in doubles with 172, 3rd in MLB in triples with 19, tied for 1st in MLB with the Yankees in home runs with 108, tied for 10th in MLB in walks with 282, 6th in MLB in strikeouts with 539, 1st in MLB in slugging percentage at .477, and 8th in MLB in on-base percentage at .340.

A tale of two worlds it seems.
