Boost mode shouldn't affect this game. The only thing that would is supersampling, and that shouldn't affect using 1080p "Faster" mode.

So I just turned off Auto Motion Plus in my TV’s settings and the frame rate improved immensely. I’m getting consistent 55+ fps plus now when I was getting 30-50.

That goes back to this talk. Are experiencing any side effects such as input lag? Do you like the appearance of the motion? I personally am not a fan of it, but to each their own.

No tv can make a game have better fps

You are referring to input lag which is not what this is all about

NO TV is going to magically improve the FPS of a game...Please people stop saying that

Oh, I thought Auto Motion Plus was one of those frame interpolation options. What does it do, then?

All auto motion does is add soap opera effect by adding a frame to what is giving to give the illusion of 60fps depending on how you set it up but the game still doing 30fps

You can interpolate games at 30fps to appear 60fps or 60fps to appear 120hz

this is all dependant on if the tv is actually 120hz native and only the QlED brands this year have that for game mode that does not jack up input lag

But doing auto motion plus creates artifacts and is not something I recommend be used

Okay, that's what I thought it was.

You're just arguing semantics, then. Of course it doesn't improve the game's framerate, just the perception that its framerate increased. I literally posted that right above your post. When you added what you added, I thought you were countering my statement.

I hope you know who you're talking to here. You and I had a full-on conversation in multiple threads about this, including the one I just linked to in my post.

my post was not to you, it was the guy who said he is now getting consistent 55fps which I am not even sure how he knows this but auto motion does not increase or decrease fps. It just adds soap opera effect for an illusion but it most definitely still feel like is 30fps

I know, but I mentioned that right above by pointing to the previous thread. I thought you were attempting to overstep what answer I already provided for him, saying: "Nuh uh, listen to what I have to say." That's why I couldn't tell if you were saying something different than me.

No I was not, but your answer did not specify to him that a tv cannot give you steady 55fps. Interpolation ON OR OFF it dont matter. That is all i was getting at. His quote was that he turned it off and now he is getting a steady 55 fps

That post alone is nonsense because he cannot tell how many FPS he is getting on ps4 without equipment. And Auto Motion interpolates only it does not increase FPS

You are correct in what you stated what auto motion is but the guy is saying he is getting 55fps steady after turning it off. Which is impossible

Sick of the Soap Opera Effect ruining your favorite movies and shows? Here’s how to turn this feature off on most major TVs.

I’m not a “techy” guy, so I may not be moving the conversation forward with this. But, I do fee framerate took a major step back this year. Since 16 I have played on legend with pitch speed at or above 7 on the slider scale. This year, in a lot of stadiums, it is super hard to track off speed pitches.

This game is incredible, and I can’t put it down but I just wanted to add a tally to the side concerned about framerate. From my experience, it is worse than 18 for sure.

I feel pretty much the same. Off-speed and breaking pitches are hard to track because of the framerate dip as those types of pitches approach the plate. Also, in most situations when a fly ball is hit to the outfield, the framerate drops pretty significantly. Haven't played this as much as I'd hoped, mainly because of the framerate issues. This game is definitely awesome, I just can't enjoy it the way I want to. I'm hoping for a fix, but we'll see what happens I guess.

I was good with 18 as the FPS issue was mostly foul balls to the side behind dugouts but this year it is all over the field when throwing from third to first base or tracking down fly balls. Even pitching at times get herky jerky

The game is great on the field but the FPS and Judder issue is a huge black eye for me
