I pre-ordered the MVP edition. It's a birthday gift from my wife.

I have never once played DD or online games. Strictly franchise. I never have gotten the game early.

The way I see it, I get to start playing this weekend as opposed to getting it next Tuesday and waiting for next weekend to play.

The biggest reason is I can see which Minor League Pitchers are in the game and start working on their Pitch Edits. :-) LOL.... I know, but I can't help it...

As I’ve said.. it’s a moot point. Buy the $79.99 MVP version from GameStop, Sell your DD codes.

If you think it’s difficult or takes a while, I’ve already sold mine and the game isn’t even out. If you want even more return, the steel book alone can bring upwards of $15-20 (typically you sell the steel book a little later, not at release).

Won’t go into detail but I’m paying standard price for the MVP edition. Stop being upset and look at ways to counteract. That’s how business works.

I will just give my codes away on here as I do every year. Never felt the need to charge for them. But good for you for finding a way to get your early release fix at the standard price

Even if you're a franchise player, you can sell the cards you get to quickly get better sponsors or add sounds, animations, etc that will be useful to you.

I'm purely getting MVP edition for the 4 days early access. If that is worth it to you, get it -- if not, you're still getting the game way earlier than you did last year.

If you're a franchise-only player, those DD extras aren't worth the extra money. So leaving the standard version out of the early access is just another sign us franchise guys take a backseat to the DD players in the eyes of SCEA. Would have been easy to throw us a bone and include all pre-orders in the early access.

I started to get one of the other editions purely for early release, but I work 10 hour days and never get to play games accept for on my days off. I wouldn’t be able to play it before the 17th anyway, so spending the extra cash just to look at the box laying on my desk didn’t make much sense.

It is funny seeing guys fuss over $20 that includes more than 4 days early and yet over the years, we have had a lot of guys pay over $100 to get the game 4-5 days early in the "Who has it" threads.

Don’t care about a single bonus given when purchasing early. Not interested in any of that stuff. But I am going to be playing the game early Friday morning after it downloads at midnight. Exploring I will go.

Guys, people that are going to complain are still going to complain no matter what you show them. Let us enjoy the game early and they can save their money and play on the 17th.

I don't really understand why anyone would want it early. The first week or two is always a giant cluster*#$# of problems and patches.

The download countdown in the PS store is for EST, correct? So will those on PST have their download start at 9pm Thursday night?

My gaming time is at maximum peak on the weekends. I have always hated Tuesday releases. I have no time during the week with a full time job, wife, and 2 kids.

I think they changed that so games unlock at midnight local time, no matter where you are.
